When the spartans came along conflict between the two classes erupted. ODST's were then on known as second. So they try to prove themselves to the UNSC ONI. Play halo reach mission with the "Bull Frogs" ODST group, one will surely say, "Can you keep up SPARTAN?" .

Spartan III's most of their teams died in defence of civi's and cities but alot died at rally point omega. Spartan I's were disbanded due to failure to meet expectations and exceeded costs.
