On January 4, 2007 a jury found Michael Goodwin guilty of two counts of murder in the death of Mickey Thompson and his wife. Goodwin was sentenced to two consecutive life-without-parole terms for the murders of Thompson and his wife. The judge also denied Goodwin's motion for a new trial.
....After 14 years, no arrests were made in the case but Thompson's sister,Colleen Campbell, was determined to see the case solved and never gaveup in her quest to bring the killers to justice. A major breakthrough inthe case occurred in 2001 when two new witnesses came forward. Theirtestimonies ultimately helped lead to the conviction of Goodwin.

Mickey was begging for Trudy's life, and the gunman grabbed her head, held it up so he could see it, and then shot her in the head. Mickey was then shot dead.

I think that Mickey's business partner, Michael Goodwin, hired the killers. He was convicted, but hasn't revealed who the killers were.

It wasn't cowardly, it was cold blooded.
It was a hired hit.
Whether Goodwin should have been convicted or not as some people are arguing here to me is a moot point.
The man knew something about this even if he didn't order the hit.
This was a very professional hit, the killers use bikes which while risky if police happened to be in the area, seemed to have worked.
It also seemed they were ordered to really rub up in Thomspo face by killing his wife so cruelly before they shot him.
