  • michio kaku would be a nice mad-scientist-villain in a superhero movie ^^ xD

  • You are basing all of this on a VERY HUGE assumption. We have absolutely no way of knowing if there even is a parallel universe. Perhaps you will want to focus on that prior to making your half a billion mile long atom smasher...

  • let me get this right , u shoot laser light in a big circle , until the light goes faster than light , then u crash it into itself , and that opens a hole in space time to a new parallel universe then u send a copy of yourself ( that u can not make here) to that universe to look for new worlds? someone needs to adjust there medication me thinks

  • @TotalGameMaster If it's a parrallel universe, you would think there would be nothing there, so you have a point. I think we should focus on Warp Speed, and explore our own universe first. ;)

  • k but what if u destroy both universes

  • Aww man, I don't want a perfect molecular copy of me to be in another universe! I wanna go myself!!! =p

  • ok, you made the design, now do it! lol

  • so thats where tesla came from.

  • WHEN? A MILLION YEARS FROM NOW?

  • The question is, is their a point to sending copies of yourself to other universes? i mean theirs already an infinite number with copies of you that all ready exist. and ontop of that, the original you is still not going to experience anything worthwile.

  • 2:10..... black guy: "crazy chinaman"

  • I love this guy. Not that any of the things he "invents" could actually work (or be useful) but it's nice to listen to someone who's mind isn't bind by reality.

  • @hellterminator He talks about a lot of very useful scientific advancements in his 2030 lecture.

    watch?v=219YybX66MY&feature=related

  • stupid goverments! just giving money to fat people to stay home and be idiots and not giving money to projects like this!

  • Marriage and get a trusted women Online "busizz4me.info"

  • there are so many other parallel universes anything you can think of happened!

aka in some universe spongebob is the god of a universe

  • I like that, he calls it a Stargate!

  • So after you go to the parallel universe, you kill your self to gain its strength, knowledge, and abilities. Hmmm, count me in.

  • The little robots are really really stupid. It's all PARTIALLY plausable but the robots are stupid

  • I hope theres a paralel universe where the deathnote really works.

  • pause at 2:12... this guy looks very skeptical

  • 0:01

  • wat would be funny is like you can control 2 bodies at once

  • Why do you disable embeding?

  • @gregoryhot "and why does all this guy idea involve more or the energy of a star"

Because you're not going to get very far trying to go universe hopping with alkaline batteries :)

  • "Okay, universe, time to get FABULOUS!"

  • I wish i could be alive to witness all this kind of stuff happen!

  • ticket back will be when your clones builds the next 1 way ticket

  • Firstly, you would need shitloads of money. Secondly, there would probably be another "you" on the other side. Thirdly...2-way ticket, please!

  • he's mad i tell you MAD!!!

  • And BANG it Happen.... :)

  • What for are those people?

  • ITS A STARGATE

  • too bad all his ideas need energy levels of a sun...

  • Why do my clones get to have all the fun

  • this is the best show ever!

  • LOL, pause at 2:10 and the black dude is like, "What the fuck you talking about, man. You is hurtin' my head".. XD

  • is it just me or does this smell like bullshit?

  • @sonlife145 ur the guy with brains :) !

  • @sonlife145 Your religion is showing.

  • @BeachCory Haha XD good one

  • @BeachCory Your meaningless comment is showing.

  • @Soothfish burn....

  • @BeachCory your narrow mindedness is showing. you obviously think that all of our universe and perhaps parallel universes just came into being by chance. dna proves that evolution as it is being taught didn't happen. disagree? ok, how does a single - celled organism gradually evolve when it needs all of it's working parts working correctly and together at the same time, let alone the 70 trillion cells each doing a specific function together for the greater whole of a human being?

  • @TheSmoonge Let me guess, they handed out a flier at church with these talking points? You guys are too much.

  • @BeachCory nope, it's called thinking. I do it, why don't you? We live in the impossible but yet here we are. Our three dimensions that we see are made up of single dimensions that don't actually exist other than conceptually. Also, each single dimension (length, width or height) are made up of an infinite number of points, which don't physically exist because they are infinitely small. The bible says that what is impossible with man IS possible with God. You atheists are too much.

  • @TheSmoonge You obviously don't understand the scientific concepts involved, Do you research and the come to me with your God.

  • @soasertsus You obviously make inaccurate assumptions. I not only understand the scientific concepts involved, I wasn't even talking about them when I made my point. You obviously missed my point. When you do, come back to me with your Atheism.

  • @TheSmoonge who said we evolved from single cell didn't u watch Stargate SG-1 the ancients (aliens) bio engineered us in there form. :) lol and stayaway from the ori they are the devils and oh ya gua'oulds too the are the pegan gods . no offence just a joke . "And my belive no god "

  • @BeachCory too far.

  • isnt this what is experimenting in switzerland,, in bern ?

  • @7Supernova7 You're thinking of CERN's LHC, it's similar, just alot smaller than what he is talking about.

  • The Students Look Clueless...

  • @UmeshwCA They aren't Students, just sci-fi fans. I think they talk about it in his light sabre video

  • how?

  • Is he a Japanese?

  • @MrDosonhai ya he is Japanese.

  • wow

  • WTF?

You do that every time you imagine.

  • lulz this is exactly the same like saying "well,to create a portal into another universe i simply swing mah wand and everything´s alright"

  • I shared this video on Facebook, per available option, but there was a request for its removal.

I wonder from whose zelous or zealot staff came this request? What were they afraid of? To be contaminated by the populace?

Why leave the option to share on facebook? Maybe they should add the description:

WARNING: only to be shared by technical mechanic specimens with some proto-cosmological (dis)orientation...

  • @Rampagedd That might work, but think about that for a second. Just how long would that take to build?

  • cAN i take my stuff with me?

  • Does anybody else see the flaw that he doesn't mention? If the devices used to redirect the energy are located on meteors, then wouldn't they have to be perfectly stationary or moving in such a way that they all remain the same angle and distance from one another?

  • @NoNamesLeft0102 well. i guess your right about them moving.. but if anything is now possible. he could just build a huge frame instead of using asteroids of that was the problem.

  • @NoNamesLeft0102

Shhh... Michio Kaku is talking. Everything he says is now fact. I thought you knew this?

  • @117ty the theoretical physicist is talking. Since its not confirmed, then at least pointing out some noticable design flaws might be a good place to start.

  • So basically we're all gonna die. is that what your saying Michio?

  • Well you get reconstructed atom by atom at the other side so I see no problem. It would be as you never left.

  • I Love Michio Kaku. he makes science seem so easy and fun.

  • +1 on cleaning up our mess here first.

@Cutekat45, you`re right, most of these are theories and nobody really knows if they`re true or not but science is where new ideas and possibilities must be explored. The only problem I´m having is that some of these theories are presented like facts, science must remain sceptical if it wants to expose truth because some people are already taking it as a belief.

You can only know something if you can see it as it really is.

  • This is why science annoys the hell out of me, nobody knows if they're right or wrong half of the time and of this shit is just theory. In other words, nobody knows crap.

  • @Cutekat45 That's why they experiment, and technically speaking in science theories aren't just claims with no knowledge... aka Theory Of Evolution, which has a shit ton of evidence... or the Big Bang Theory.... which again has tons of evidence. Also, I fail to see how that leads to nobody knowing 'crap'... Look at Dr. Kaku, I'm sure he knows a hell of a lot more than you or I do. Science expands our knowledge, it shows we are not content with what we already know(or think we do).

  • Why r all those people pretending to look interested? The old guy is a visionary, but those spectators look as if they've been coached to feign intrigue.

  • @johnedsel I was intrested.

  • @johnedsel because they get paid for it :D

  • they're like dohhhhhhh

  • CERN

  • personally i don't believe in this thesis and i don't think that there is a "fabric" of space. i think it must have taken something supernatural to launch what we call the universe and that science will inevitably stop as soon as we reach the very first drop of time in the history of the UNIverse. Maybe there is something outside the universe but if it hasn't got time and space, from that point our universe would exist and not exist at the same time. Think about that.

  • @bassmajor If you come into a debate already believing the answer must be God or Something supernatural, then theres no point joining in if you can't believe in anything else accept God.

  • @Rampagedd Yay god...

  • Is this why the NWO is bent on collecting specimens of every ones DNA ? Where's my consent ? What proof is there that the other side is positive ? If there even is another side. It's all theoretical. Do I want my clone in HELL ? No, I think I'd rather go to the dentist and have a filling done without Novocain before I'd give my consent to this. US YOUR BRAIN PEOPLE, THINK !

  • Does this universal level of encircling the sun, sound exactly like what is happening at CERN... DUH!

  • @2222554 yeah but thats- Extremely small to the scale what he's presenting. If an asteroid moves a Centimeter out of place at the wrong time, A singularity could be formed (Ie, a black hole, or another -but smaller- version of the big bang) What ever the outcome may be, Nanites/Nanobots, what ever you may call them, are Way out of our grasp.

  • @umd223 But not out of the Creators grasp... :0)

  • @2222554 True =o

  • Genius !

  • yea if nobody lived in that other universe..

  • negative matter! This one is new! This is why I love theoretical physics as much as genetics and biology: so many kinds of matter! strange matter, regular matter, antimatter, dark matter, now negative matter!

  • physics just made me jizz myself

  • Mchio kaku is a big liar he don't know how to use it he just explaining with a nonsense and he has stupid imagination in history of science!

  • who will recreate everything in the new world? U send God to do it?

  • The beginning of the eps is about "How to travel to a parallel Universe" but it come up with a theory of "Creating a new parallel Universe". I'm not satisfy with this eps.

Anyway, this Series is f...ing awesome.

  • This is nonsense!

    Ps: Don't do drugs.

  • VIrtual Food made from a computer. I saw it on BRINK or another newer Discovery Science Channel show. But now I can't find information on this anywhere. They made 2 things in a computer all JETSONS style. They created food , and they created some basic mechanical object. It was awesome. They even ate the food after it was synthesized. If anybody knows where I can find a video or info on this please message me a link.

  • but how would you know what is on the other side if your clone never comes back to tell you unless you just kill yourself

  • @unclesamshat Then your clone is either happy or screwed.

  • FUCKING GENIOUS. I bet you all i am this guy in a different parrellel universe talking about this!!

  • As soon as I graduate college, I know what I'm doing. :D

  • Just build one XD

  • Questons- Please answer- What particles are the beams composed of, are the opposite beams different? what would be the approximate distance between the magnetic electric fields that keep them in orbit around the belt? How exactly will the robot contribute in recreating copies of ourselves on the other side?

  • im cofussed can it be a hugs tiem now?

  • i didn't get it worm hole so thats what they are making in LCH worm hole

if u search LHC its same thing but the things he said is happening on earth

  • @faridtv1 No, LHC is still remarkably smaller than this accelerator, LHC is the most powerful we have created on earth.

  • @ewanm89 but michio kaku shows how to make worm hole everything he says is smeller to what they are doing in LHC

  • maybe ion a fwe hundred years

  • Are we 100% sure on this laws of physics?

  • negative matter? wtf is that?

  • It is an extremely hypothetical and speculative form of matter and energy that would warp space the opposite way that normal matter and energy do. This would be more of an expansion of space than a bending of it, as seen in physics.

It is also a substance that could cause extreme violations of the laws of physics, such as time travel and perpetual motion machines, for instance.

The existence of these processes would make any sort of logical and even habitable universe impossible.

  • ah like in quantum mechanics. everything has a negative.

  • antimatter

  • i think)

  • there is no sense questioning the words of a crazy theoretical physicist. some are only theories, so why question them?

  • While all this is fun and good for fiction etc., the creation of an actual traversable wormhole violates a number of key laws of physics. It violates a some energy conditions, and the negative/exotic mattter needed is an extreme violation of established facts of physics.

There is something called quantum inequalities that has been shown to make the creation of negative energy in appreciable quantities impossible, due to the fact that it will be eliminated by greater amounts of normal stuff.

  • well invisibility too violated everything in optical physics till they found metamaterials at duke university, that were invisible in microwave lengths, at a small scale; they found a metamaterial for visible light too, at a small scale; xD

  • That means nothing here.

So-called "invisibility" doesn't violate fundamental laws of physics, which the creation of traversable wormholes does.

Difficulties in material science and engineering cannot be compared to blatant violations of physics. It doesn't work that way.

Negative energy in any appreciable quantity opens the door to time travel and perpetual motion, which are flagrant violations of physical laws.

  • Unless you keep the wormhole open, IF you enter a parallel universe, you're not going to receive information.

Also, wormholes are technically just warped spacetime. I'm not sure you'd enter another universe, as opposed to another point in spacetime within this universe.

AND, parallel universes could have different physical laws. The chances that the robots will work is... small.

I could be wrong. Correct me if I am. >>

  • This is somewhat similar to the stargates in EVE Online. Of course, its just a game, but this theory lends it plausibility. The question is where the wormhole leads to. Another universe? Ours' in another time? Ours' in another place? If its the last one, then with the sufficient technology, we'd probably need such gates for interstellar travel, since warp speed would take too long if you're coming back from work. :P Oh well, that's for 23000AD.

  • why would you do that?...

  • Ok, we recreate ourself in the parallel universe and whats the point? And how could we actually prove that something is on the other side of the gate when its only a one way ticket? :)

  • And one last thing... If you put a powerful device with a powerful magnetic sphere.. on a asteroid... it will attract other asteroid as well .... THE WHOLE MISSION WILL BE A FAILURE

  • Too much assumption.... first containing huge amounts of energy is impossible(for now). I't too unstable ... second ATOM SMASHER? an atom is very small.... it's impossible... last NANOBOTS? I'm mean they haven't really invented it! DO IT AND IT"S ALL POSSIBLE.....

  • thats why its called Sci Fi and there not actully gpnna make it

  • So after traveling through.. .dont recreate urself... instead send lots of nanorobots to construct a 2nd gateway using coordinates, info etc gathered when moving though. To create a two way corridor.

Ofc prepare for a possible invasion if the other side happens to be intelligent and space ready!

  • Wow a lot of assumptions are needed to be swallowed for this to be plausible. First he'd need to create a working model of his billion mile long atom smasher (yeah right) and then he'd have to have a working robot that could survive the journey of the wormhole (if one was even created) thats for starters.. Possible? Perhaps. Plausible... Uh I doubt it.

  • I never thought I'd be doing this, but watching Dr Kaku's theories makes me question the morality of science.

WHY should we inject nano-robots to recreate OURSELVES in the other dimension?

    What happened to peaceful exploration?

If another dimension decided to invade ours and transform it to suit themselves, you'd be pissed, right? I certainly would be.

  • ...its impossible to explore if we can see anything. He never said changing anything, simply the bots would seek a habitable planet so he could recreate himself so he could have a look around, its not like he is changing it to fit his needs. If there is nothing habitable then though luck i guess

  • Testosterone.

That's what this is all about. As soon as scientists put a hole in something - like another dimension - they want to stick something into it.

Instead of dreaming of inseminating parrallal dimensions maybe these scientists types just need a little bit of the ol' in 'n' out....

  • isnt that how black holes are created? an insanely large gravitational collapse so powerful that it actually tears a hole in the fabric of space? If so, this experiment wouldn't be very intelligent to fiddle with :P

  • @darksinthe well you're on the right path of idea in it essentially destroying us. :P

  • This is pure sci-fi of sci-fi. Someone also hypothesized in one BBC documentary that parallel universe could exist at 1/trillionth of a millimeter from our existence. Well all these are only hypothesis.

  • The recreation part of it is really crazy, but you never really know if traveling to another time is real or not. Tell someone from the early 1900 that we put a man on the moon and they would lock you up in a nut house.Anything is possible with time

  • oh yeah and if there were any parallel universes, isn't there...just a chance...that that universe has no time? or is 2,000,000 degrees celsius? or...is smaller than an atom? i could go on, but you get my point. but this is kinda dirty lol, he injects his robots into the gateway, each with all his information and dna, kinda like...sperm. LOL

  • why would you wanna be somewere were an austrian madman ( yes hitler was austrian, not german. ) wanted to kill all people that were jews, wanted only people with blonde hair and blue eyes to live, and wanted to rule the earth with a tyranical rule was the lord? dude, your a fucking idiot.

  • I always liked the idea that in some parellel universe exists a reality where German won the second world war.

    I'm there.

  • Does he mean a virtual parallel universe

  • hassiktir lan.

  • "i can now send my payload through the gateway" dirty bastard :D:D:D

  • Riiiight.... forgot about a few important points:

    1) Eistein says a wormhole cannot be created, though they could already exist.

    2) There are no "parrallel universes" as far as we know. So wtf is he talking about.

  • @devilsaddendum

are you saying whatever EInstein says is right?

lol einstein fag. Einstein is not always right and it has been proven.

can you prove the inexistence of parallel universe? no you can't! so wtf are YOU talking about.

  • It's not healthy to be that stupid, so tone it down a bit. Prove to me there is not a place somewhere in the universe where screwdrivers grow on trees, and I'll see if I can prove the inexistance of parallel universes. The burden of evidence does not fall on me, it falls on the person making an extraordinary claim. You should know this. There's no point in discussing anything with someone who doesn't understand such a simple concept.

  • Such a simple concept? In which way are any of these concepts simple? But, I agree that there has to be at least one alternate universe because science always repeats it's self, and the concept of just having one universe is ludicrous, there is no way that with all the worlds and galaxies and planets that there would ever be an end, space is just a hole, that is filled up with universes and galaxies and solar systems and planets.

  • By "simple concept", I mean the simple concept that the burden of evidence lies on the person who makes extraordinary claims. I have nothing against the idea of multiple universes. But there is nothing proving the existence of parallel ones. They can be side by side, though. To my knowledge, there is not a single thing in the universe which we have proven to be infinite. To claim that the universe would be infinite is weird, since it would make sense to assume that nothing is truly infinite.

  • actually there are things that are infinite..(haven't u already learnt that evreything is relative?...some things are finit..but some aren't...) ex: the points that form a geometric figure...or even a line..

& between 2 numers there is an infinity of numbers...it's just that our brain is not fully evolved.....YET!...to understand some things..

  • No, both of those examples are human concepts. Geometry and math are human languages designed by humans to be able to communicate certain things, but they are not a part of the universe. The proof of this is that math and geometry did not exist before intelligent life did. Nothing in the actual universe has been proven to be infinite.

  • @devilsaddendum I laughed at how you bitch slapped lastsupremacy with logic and your little caution to them.

  • "and you little caution to them"?

  • @devilsaddendum I don't even know what I meant. :P

  • Lol; man's illusion that he is intelligent.

  • you're a caveman compared to him,

  • Compared to God, I'm not even a cell, lol.

  • is this really possible :D

  • Better not show this video to any LHC crazies...

  • Great theory. Great way to help people expand their minds.

Thing is, we can already do this-through meditation, we can travel through to different aspects of consciousness, aka, parallel or different universes (But Dr, Kaku already knows this, it is that most of the world and the audience watching his show are not ready to hear it yet. : ) Thanks Dr. Kaku : ) Your work will help the future.

  • sigh.. if only we could go to the Earth 1 Universe... this Earth could use a Justice League :(

  • @daiatlus79 lol, crisis on infinite earths :P or multiple earths I think I mean. Owl man was a skank in that old comic.

  • maybe earth 2... JSA

  • fabulous amounts of energy?

  • That sounded amusingluy gay...

  • well, it does look interesting, and plz correct me if im wrong, but those "twin beams" he is talking about would need incredible energy themselves

and, i don't know how long the giant asteroid belt is, but wouldn't the light take quite some time to pass through it all? and, those magnetic field rings or whatever, are staioned on asteroids after all. but if they move, the beams would go in the wrong direction

  • it's purely theoretical. I don't think anyone is actually considering doing this. HEnce it's 'science fiction science'.

  • if one of the most brilliant minds of our planet is postulating this, and is paid to do so, i doubt its pure bunk... there is actual science science to it! its just well beyond our grasp and means yet.. like time travel.. we would need a powerful source of energy for something like this, much like a wormhole or Dyson's Sphere

  • Most Kaku's prophecies will come true in the future.

He is the Jesus of the 21st century

  • this....is... ridiculous........

  • yeaa this is kinda weird, no offense...

  • id rather play cod 6

  • cool, THEORY.

  • O_O damn

  • i want the scifi channel

  • Comment removed

  • @nobleheight

lol, try taking an advanced physics class, what he's describing is all based on math (described in lay terms to appeal to us). Math and science probably beyond what you're capable of comprehending. You're in essence calling Einstein dumb. This is Einstein physics. Master general relativity first, then call this dumb if you'd still like to.

  • trtnec, the last thing he says is that it is a one-way ticket through the rabbit hole. In other words, human-kind would not benefit one bit. It's nothing more than a fantastic garbage disposal.

  • The science is fine, but the practicality? Constructions three AU in radius are not easy to make. At all. Nor are they cheap.

  • That's what they said about an airplane in the 1800's

  • wtf there is a difference between an airplane, and going into another universe lol
