The NTC has a weak centralised control over the country, to say the least. Also, the discrimination and vicious attacks on pro-Gaddafi strongholds such as Sirte and Bani Walid in the closing phase of last year's conflict have alienated much of the population there. I fear Sirte and Bani Walid will be the epicentre of a pro-Gaddafi, anti-NTC uprising, just like Fallujah and Ramadi were in Iraq back in 2004. Maybe al-Jazeera can do a 'Inside Story' episode on this possibility. It would be awesome.
