  • Hayley has such a wonderful voice, who could pass her music by. thank you

  • Honestly, who dislikes this song that would bother to watch it, great song sang wonderfully. I only wish I could get this song in mp3 format, but, alas, I am state side. I would like it if she would put a collection together of worship songs...

  • @berettanut Me too! :)

  • Man i needed to hear this today:}THANK YOU JESUS:}Thank you Hayley:}1,ooo,ooo,ooo thumbs up:}

  • Wow...such a beautiful song!

  • HERMOSA

  • i really love this version, her voice is beautiful!

  • one word , BEAUTIFUL . very beautiful . goosebumps

  • I don't believe, but the song is touching ! Very beautiful.

    x

  • Just Awesome.Praise Jesus. The voice of an Angel.

  • I Love Jesus :DD

  • beautiful. Praise God for such gift

  • She almost sounds country western. Either way she sound beautiful as usual.

  • It would be sooo pretty if she would cover "My Deliverer."

  • @katandann You mean the one by Chris Tomlin? I was thinking she could collaborate with him sometime, since he's a popular Christian artist in America. I also think she would sound great singing How Great is Our God. Now that would be the best version ever, especially the feeling she's been putting into her more recent performances.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 Actually I was talking about the song by Rich Mullins (who is deceased). I've never heard the song you talking about (sorry, I'm ignorant). But yeah, she would be good sing "How Great is Our God." It would be the best version ever! Haha! (Sorry, I just repeated and agreed with everything you said.)

  • @katandann Oh, I've heard that before! Yeah, maybe that one would be better. But I still like the idea of her singing How Great is Our God. :)

  • She'd sound amazing singing Here I Am to Worship, too. Just about anything, really! :)

  • @katandann Rich Mullins wrote My Deliverer and Chris Tomlin did a cover of it. :) You were both correct just confused lol.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 My deliverer was written by Rich Mullins and Chris Tomlin did a cover of it lol. You were both right. Rich Mullins actually didn't sing it.

  • I'm..speechless..

  • You are my light and hope and I thank you.

  • I wish I could buy this song on iTunes! If anyone knows where I can get it, please let me know!

  • i love you..

  • Well, the conversation below is more interesting than the video. Lol.

  • quelindoooooooooooo

  • Such a lovely voice. I would say a perfect voice. Every song Hayley sings touches me and makes me feel as though my heart and being can reach higher and higher. Thank you so much for this post.

  • God, or whatever you conceive the highest power to be, does exist. I have had so many inexplicable, scientifically that is, things happen in my life that I have no doubt in my mind there most assuredly is a God and there are angels - never forget the angels - they touch our lives here on earth, they love us, and they guide us. Hayley did this grand song justice and she rendered it beautifully. Thank you for this post.

  • i truly love this song. what hayley does with her voice here is absolutely amazing...al

  • Love her voice - she is my role model, and even better knowing that she's a Christian!! Anyone know where to get the backing for this?

  • @Anathwin But a mortal king would, and could, never do what the Immortal King has done, for everyone in the whole world.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 Well spoken.

  • @Anathwin My friend, a normal king will not save you, nor count you free from your sin, and worse give his son for you. That is why its impossible to refer this song to a normal king. Ill pray that you may listen to the lyrics and realize that.

  • @MrRileyhng Pray all you like, as with anything else - it will never be realized. It's human will that makes miracles and things happen. Not an invisible god. A good king will serve his people in a form of the word, and I don't believe in sins. I believe in honor and lack there of. Right and Wrong born of human nature.

All for one and one for all!

  • @Anathwin An example of you're saying is, Hitler killing people wasn't and isn't wrong because there's no such thing as wrong?

Side note: The definition for miracle is - an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.

  • Perfect! Love you and God!! <3

  • beautiful.

  • I am a BIG fan of Hayley Westenra's what a voice she has! Thank you.

  • i love the song...and the video goes really well with the song too...*uber like*

  • "Say hi from Thailand"" I really love this song God bless "

  • Does anyone know if this on one of her cds

  • @listener16214 Yes, it's on the New Zealand version of her album River of Dreams, The Very Best of Hayley Westenra. Try amplifier or Marbeck's, NZ music sites.

  • I'm starting to believe that Hayley really is an angel.

  • I can't believe this music is so beautiful.

To me Hayley is the best singer in the universe.

  • Holy crap I did not know she did songs like this!!! This is just amazing!!! Praise God to bless this talented woman!!!

  • Just because I can say this: (Must read all)

"You can't touch God. You can't see God. You can't smell God. You can't physically feel God. You can't hear God, so scientifically, God does not exist."

"You can't touch your Brain. You can't see your Brain. You can't smell your Brain. You can't feel your Brian. You can't hear your brain. So Scientifically, your Brain does not exist."

You can never say he doesn't exist or is "imaginary" Hes real. He is powerful. And He has shown me grace. <3

  • @WondersCreated You can see your brain in an MRI, though.

I'd compare it to something like the wind. You can't see it, but you can see and feel its affects. Same thing with God; you can't see Him, but you can find evidence of Him everywhere.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 That is too true, in your way of describing it it's a good comparison but if they say that God is not nor will ever be here, then I feel the brain is best. And it's 100% true on evidence of him everywhere. Just to put this one out there, Evolution has already been disproved in numerous ways. "Spontaneous generation." I could give an entire science lesson on how it's impossible and alreasdy proven false. In which the big bang is ruled out immediately along with ALOT of other.

  • @WondersCreated That's true, too. I was just pointing out that it's possible to see the brain physically, and to touch it, etc. You can't do that with God. But you can see the physical evidence of his creation.

And I rule out the big bang theory because when I imagine a big bang, I imagine a big mess afterwards, not the beauty order which we find in creation.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 Definatly. How can something as complex as us, or glorious as the sunset be out of a small spec? Haha. (;

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 The big bang didn't instantly make the planets you know. That just started the whole process. Dust clouds of element got bigger and bigger and stars were making more elements which became heavier and heavier and then the dust in the clouds started to clump together more and more. So you see, It can't be proven or dis-proven, that's why it's called a THEORY.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 And spotaneous generation is when chromosome change which can be proven by any one who has a good enough microscope as the chomosome it self changes physically. For instance people with down syndrome has one extra chromosome which gives them the syndrome. I'm an A level student and even I can prove it to be true. It doesn't take a genius.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 Maybe angelic encounters are the MRI's for God! For instance, whenever you here Hayley sing, you are wittnesing an angelic encounter! Angel Blessings!

  • @WondersCreated I touched brain two days ago. Feels like slimy modelling clay. Believe whatever you like, I'm not going to disrespect that, but seriously... WHAT were you thinking when you typed that you couldn't see a brain? What do you think brain surgeons do, open up people's heads and go "...Oh. Seems to be empty. Oh well!"

  • @CrownedWithLaurels You cannot see your OWN brain, therefore is it not there? Yes, you are right surgeons see brains and you can very well see a brain anywhere but not your own. Not while you are alive and literally LITERALLY see it. Take your mind down a notch and know, just because God isn't visible to human eyes doesn't mean He isn't there. He is. You wouldn't be here without Him.

  • @CrownedWithLaurels Note though did I say "a" brain? No, I said "your" brain. There is no way to see YOUR brain literally or feel YOUR brain literally. Just putting that out there as well.

  • @WondersCreated Yes, there is. Wow, you really need to think these statements through... You can see a picture of your own brain if you get an MRI. You could touch it during brain surgery if the doctors would let you. If you got shot in the head, you'd see your own brain all over the place right before you died. The brain is an organ, a physical thing. Of COURSE you can see it! No part of your body is magically invisible! Just let the whole brain thing go, seriously.

  • @WondersCreated

I know what you are trying to get at......... not the best metaphor, but those 'open minded' dude's need it as simple as possible! ;) ( Careful don't be too open minded, your brain just might fall out!)

  • @WondersCreated ah but if one smashes someone else's skull there is definitely going to be brains leaking out ...... sorry just had to point that out and also the person who's head got smashed would then find out if there is a god .....

  • @WondersCreated that's interesting :) There's a lot of things in the world we must accept by faith, God is too great, too powerful, too mighty, too amazing, too holy, too devine (trust me i could go on haha) to only fit into the tiny mold that our brains can understand, to only fit into blunt scientific terms. He is our Holy Father, He is THE Supreme Being!!

  • @WondersCreated Open your heart....your soul will recognize its creator, its Almighty Father. You will feel Him as you grasp your babies little hand, or stroke your babies tender cheek. You will see Him in all of Nature's glorious beauty, in your babies pure smile, in the loving care people still give one another. You will smell Him in the fresh smells of nature, in that wonderful baby smell. You will hear Him in your child's laughter, in the joyous praise and singing His children give to Him.

  • @WondersCreated We sense God with our souls, our hearts, our spirits. This most beautiful and special sense is given to us when we choose to see Jesus as he truly is, to let Him into our lives and lead us. To say "Jesus, im tired, im so tired of trying to do everything on my own, i cant do it by myself. Please help me, lead me, be the Lord of my life. Forgive me for all the wrong i've done, im sorry Jesus. Save me, I accept you into my life as my personal savior." Our eyes become opened, we see!

  • @WondersCreated Love this perspective...we cannot see Him but can see His powerful hand answering prayers!

  • @WondersCreated I would say instead of "your brain" a better example would be Love. Or Happiness. God is felt with the part of our brain that can understand spirituality. Trying to use our physical senses to feel something spiritual is just foolish. Just as foolish as trying to feel love or any emotion with our hands. Just doesn't work.

  • @WondersCreated I completely agree with what you say!! :)

Have to admit, though, I laughed when thinking about smelling your brain...

  • @WondersCreated i have never heard such clap trap in all my life. actually ive seen thousands of brains. you cant do brain surgery without touching it. you can taste brain and smell brain. have you ever had a headache?. are you like 3 years old? if you had used the neutrino or dark matter as your argument it would have been stronger but even they can be detected. god cant.

    god exists through faith.

  • @WondersCreated the most disappointing thing for me is that 36 other idiots think that your argument is a good one.

the second most disappointing thing is that you used this forum to post your idiotic argument when you should be talking about the music.

this is about haleys lovely performance not your opportunity to spout off

  • She should have kept the words "knowing I'm a sinful man".

    It loses it's meaning otherwise.

  • @TheMetallicaaaManiac I don't see how it loses its meaning entirely. For one thing, she's not a man. It would sound weird if she called herself a man, singing in that beautiful voice. Somebody is sinful because they have sinned. So what she says means pretty much the same thing. The chorus and the parts leading up to it are the best parts anyway.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 we are all Sons of Christ, because being Sons means that we inherit the kingdom of God. Therefore, we are all sinful men.

  • @TheMetallicaaaManiac True, but Hayley is still not a man, and it just doesn't sound right for a woman to refer to herself as a man. Either way, worrying about minor details like that takes away from the enjoyment of the song. I mostly notice how her beautiful song makes a good song even better. And

I don't think God minds. He's probably not overly-picky about such things. He looks at the heart, remember?

  • merci seigneur a lui seul la gloire

  • Ok I can get into this song if I don't think of of it as talking about some religous imaginary friend. Mire like true love... It can be romantic if you look at it like that. She's amazing!!!

  • @Anathwin Jesus wasn't "religious"; the religious leaders of his day hated him, that's why they crucified Him. And He was not and is not imaginary.

  • For a complete source of Hayley's lyrics, please visit Hayley Online dot net. :)

  • Beautiful voice! Can I get this on iTunes? If not, where?

  • @DJ57100 Unfortunately it's not available for download in the U.S., since it was only released on the New Zealand version of River of Dreams. However, you can buy the album from Marbeck's or Amplifier. It is the better version, because it has a bonus disc with extra songs, not to mention Majesty. :)

  • This is my favorite song from the River of Dreams, Best of Hayley Westenra NZ version. Really amazing

  • so wonderful...Amen *****

  • It continually amazes me why Hayley isn't a worldwide singing phenomenon. It also amazes me why so many people get engrossed with bland, talentless drones on shows like X-factor. If Simon Cowell says someone is a great singer, they must be a great singer. In other words, sit there like a thoughtless idiot, and we'll tell you whats good, and what to listen to. Man, people are thick! Well, you can stick your X-factor up your arse, cos I prefer to listen to talented people, like Hayley.

  • I love this song it's so amazing! ♥ ≈≈≈

  • Its not nasty, its the most wonderful thing! Jesus was the lamb, a perfect sacrfifice...no longer did man have to lay animals on an alter. Jesus became the final sacrifice so that now we have eternal Life in Him. He is called the Lamb slain. Theres nothing I could ever do that would ever exceed what Jesus did on the cross. His love was so great that he layed down his life for you!

  • I prefer Hayley's version to Delerius's, Hayley's has more depth and quality

  • Covered by the Blood of the Lamb? Sounds nasty

  • @silvereldiablo Cleansing blood. He is a Lamb without blemish, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world.

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 is this a god kinda thing?

  • @hayleywestenrafan1 haha i feel so stupid i thought your username was hayley westen rafan and finally figured out it was hayley westenra fan (:

  • Being a believer and listening to this is so touching,it makes me cry and want to keep loving even when it hurt's..You are an angel..

  • Greath Song, I like it!!!! God Bless you!!

  • Is Hayley Westenra a christian?

  • Love this song!

  • Thanks for sharing this lovely song! My version of RoD is the normal one so it doesn't have this :/

  • Wow, thanks for uploading this! I had no idea she had covered one of my favorite worship songs. I agree with many of the posters -- if only this was on an international album. I'm also not a huge fan of the idea of a greatest hits album anyway, because (as a huge fan) I already own most of her work and don't want to pay $30 for only a few new songs...

I wonder when Decca will release some of her NZ and UK songs as MP3 singles?

  • I luv her music!!! Shes seem so cute and lovely to b around:)

  • I like Hayley, he keeps her faith to herself but she doesent deny her Love for God. And she isnt rubing it in every interview. she is the only Person i love besides celtic women...

  • omGeeee! I sooo agree with u .

  • Great to know Hayley isn't afraid to be honest about her faith in Christ. God Bless you Hayley! See you in heaven.

  • If you buy the album directly froms NZ, where the album was released, there will be no import costs. Try Amplifier or Marbeck's. Amplifier has a customs tax for UK residents, but for the rest of the world it should be the best one.

  • Thanks for the info much appreciated, Wonder if she will consider doing more contemporary worship. Any ideas why this track wasnt released in the UK?

  • It could have to do with Delirious' ownership of the song; either because she would have to pay a lot to use the song, or maybe their own restrictions of the song.

Another thing could be that she or Decca wanted to see how well this type of song would be received by her fans. New Zealand is probably a less risky market, since it's smaller, and she already has their devotion.

  • HW has always been vague about anything and everything personal. But she is a Christian.

  • I echo what's just been said.

The song lyrics are as powerful as Amazing Grace.

    Wonderful Hayley !!

  • I was very surprised to find Hayley singing this song as she has always been very vague about her faith. However, I am enjoying this song so much--I wish she would record it on an international album so I can get a HQ version without having to pay crazy import prices!

  • Me too ! I met her in Glasgow at a signing . Very gracious and very humble no diva attitude at all. Where did you buy this version of the album I would like to purchase ?

  • Such a sensitive interpretation of this song. This emphasises Hayley's Christian faith

Good vid too - some lovely photos

  • Wonderful! Hayley - You are the best! Whatever you sing - you are phantastic!

Thank you so much for sharing!
