@radioactivetesticles It will not "waste" any warhead, it will use kinetic energy to destroy the target. This is just a prototype, a technology demonstrator. The real weapon will be something else. There are plans for a 2 tonnes glider that will travel at mach 10 which is planned to be transported by a ballistic missile. Probably a modified Minuteman III or Trident II. There are other ways of transportation being considered, but the ballistic missile one is the most effective one.
