These cars have always been so close anyway that its usually a driver's race, until Subaru dropped the 07 STI which make devasting power with a few bolt ons and standard flash/ecu mod. I still love my IX tho
I love how no people have respect for the STI, probably just because its a bunch of kids posting on here that just recently saw fast and the furious. I know a few people who have evos and they dont treat sti owners like the garbage ur sayin, so if u dont have an evo and are talking alot of shit about the sti, go look at the wrc stats, subaru rally team places better almost all the time.
i think u're way off buddy... look, don't matter what u drive... EVO or STI, those are NOT the cars they use in RALLY... What i'm trying to point here is that if Subaru is better then Mitsubishi on the rally team that don't mean nothing for the street cars, specially for the stock ones. I have an EVO 9 and it's stock except the exhaust but i'm never going to challenge not even a moded civic... i might not be a "racer" like many of these kids say they are. :)
Your obviously not bashing Subarus so your point is useless. Also, I agree the evo is a better car, better motor and handling. It has a shit trans but if its shep built your fine. I would have an Evo X right now if I could because they make massive power but what I'm saying is people bash on the STi saying its garbage. The truth is the STi is just harder to drive but people make all of their decisions off of top gear because they're fools.
Right, right... i totally agree! I had a pretty hard decision to make when i got the Evo (just got it almost 2 months ago). I would have ONLY went for an STI if i haven't gotten a good deal on this Evo.

they do so many races between these two monsters. the evo could beat the STi on a track anyday cuz the evo can shift power to any wheel (even can become 1WD) but in terms of speeed in a straight away theyre both almost exactly the same.
I disagree, it seems they both launched at the same time. The evo G-Techs a 12.6 with just a TBE. Cars are very evenly matched even though EvoIX's are just slightly faster.

Right, right... i totally agree! I had a pretty hard decision to make when i got the Evo (just got it almost 2 months ago). I would have ONLY went for an STI if i haven't gotten a good deal on this Evo.
