  • @inCare are you blind? I pretty much quoted him. He's saying ''keep your feet flat when doing a right cross''.

and yes, the right way to do it is to be on the ball of the right foot, like you said and it was what I implied.

  • Well, i do understand know what you're saying. Well, it ain't that flat, he means tho not to overgo to the ball of the foot...

  • @TheTramsen seriously!! kickboxers are always flat on their feet when they punch

  • this is not a jab

  • Mc Cullough is just the best instructor I ever seen. He just explain everithing with passion!

  • rob's elbow keeps bowing out on the jab...noticed it on the vid too. Good instruction overall though

  • i love how people think there so bad ass thru comments :}

  • FRICKIN TWINKLE TOES AHHA

  • big foot!!!

  • Really nice channel :)

  • omg!! when i read ( check out the size of teh other guy's feet

    ILMO !! AHAHAHAH

  • Fantastic information. Thank you.

  • jaaaaab

  • rob myculo? hahahahaha

  • tht bag does not wanna stop moving

  • I very much disagree about the "knee turning" You really need to move your feet or you will have a big risk for knee injuries since a straight leg is NOT made to turn in the knee joint. But your are also saying and showing different thing.s you move the weight off the heel as you throw hooks and you pivot on the feet nomatter what you say. This is just advice to people who does not know technique yet. Its clear you know how to do it but tell ppl to learn basics FIRST and then advance to these ;)

  • @minit55 i agreed if u been train for many years,u wont have to pivot that much but beguinners in my opinion should rotate their fron foot during the jap

  • @chimaera1855 My problem is not with the feet moving.. My point is that he twist his knee in a "non anathomical" way. If you do that either the miniscus og ligamments will be stressed and cause a inflammation and you are in the risk zone of having a chonic joint problem. It was more as a safety advice for beginners.. YOU ALLWAYS NEED TO LEARN AMRTIAL ARTS FACE TO FACE.... ;)

  • this video is awesome!

  • I was watching the Kun fu hook, and then the Muy Thai Hook, and their different. In Kung Fu you don raise your elbow at all. In Muy Thai, I see your elbow is out on a 90 degree angle or w/e. In Kung Fu, your elbow stays tucked in, and you twist your hips and throw your fist out. More like just a swing. Is there a reason their different? I know its two completley different styles, but I was wondering if one is more effective. Please respond, thanks xP

  • @DeadlyRyan22 : Muay thai hook, the 90 degree seems weaker but it's stiff like our jabs are, making it stronger. The kung fu way is more of a push..

  • western boxing uses more pivoting of the feet (on hooks). I can see where you might not want to pivot so much with muay thai though since you have to worry about kick counters

  • thank u a lot, although im 10, i still learned toughs 4 punches.

  • JAAAAB, CROOOOOS, HOOOOOOK.

  • cant wait to watch him fight tomorrow. although hes fighting a guy a train with lol still really excited to see him fight

  • good

  • thats not mccullough is it? am i just trippin, i just have to ask lol

  • 1:14 rising the feet is not always wrong, most of the time, yes, but not always, fedor KO ed rogers that way,of course...we r not him

  • Muay thai here in the U.S. are not traditional muay thai. I've seen a lot of interesting and different variations such as Kickboxing w/ Muay Thai, Western Boxing w/ Muay Thai, Taekwondo w/ Muay Thai, etc. etc. It's actually useful in a MMA fight, but in thailand, it's frowned upon to mix the styles...

  • you dont keep your feet flat.. im positive..

  • he just means keep ur feet on the floor, the ball of the foot on the foot

  • normally punches will twst hip and leg,.. How come ur not..

  • normally punches will twst hip and leg,.. How come ur not..

  • @DistooHH Those are some big feet!!!!!

  • @DistooHH the video about punches ber random but LOOOL

  • This is a bad video for beginners. It sets the base for a lot of bad habit. you can tell he is a fighter not a trainer.

  • How exactly is it bad

  • wtf?? keep ur feet flat?? wtf??

  • he has long arms

  • I trained in Thailand and was told to raise the heels...not to be flat footed.

  • Feet flat?

  • @Inzo42 Yes!Feet flat if you throw your right straight/cross! a lot of other fighters (bas rutten and others)prefer that technique, because you -can- create more power and if you have tot go forward with the punch the back part of your foot will raise automaticaly! try it on the heavybag or focus mitts-10right straights with foot planted and 10 with foot "up"...you will see what punch is stronger!(btw you should have upperbody strength for that ;) )

  • @Inzo42 i was thinking the same thing

  • @Inzo42 yeah flat isnt correct! lol yet he did do a great job giving instructions n demonstrating overall

  • @Inzo42 yea thats one thing ive never heard from any muay thai instructor anywhere

  • Comprehensive and in depth instruction. One of the best i've seen so far. Great job!

  • Razor fight team FTW

  • very detailed and good explanation. thnx!

  • This is awesome. My favorite fighter and I learned quite a bit! :-)

  • Great information. Thank you for sharing!!! Keep it up and hope you the best in the future.
