ah the gilmore girls reference made me want to read that book!!! huh i just scrolled down and saw someone posted a very similar comment. fellow gilmore girl fans unite!
I congratulated you over twitter but congratulations again on the scholarship, your summer sounds like it's going to be pretty awesome now.
Also your Gilmore Girls reference made me want to go read the Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks so I might have to go pick that up. If you think it's awkward for a 23 year old girl to buy YA books, you have know idea how bad it is for a 22 year old male. Oh and he Dressden Files are fun, not amazing but they're fun to read.
Snap to you sir. I just got done reading The Disreputable History, and being a 24 year old guy, I felt a little silly reading it. I'm totally glad I did though.
Thank you Monica also for the recommendation, I'm going to have to check out the other books you mentioned now :)
This is so weird! I just made a reading list for summer (because I never have ANY time during the school year to read anything other then for my classes, which sucks.) and this is what it looks like:
The Hunger Games
The Disreputable History Of Frankie Landau Banks
Suite Scarlett
The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing
I'm glad you seemed to enjoy them all! gahhh I need it to be summer now.
Great to see you back, and well done on getting that film scholarship!! I really want to work in the film industry when I'm older, so it's nice to see you succeeding XD (I'm living vicariously through you. Don't let me down ;P )
And it's completely irrelevent but you looked very pretty in this video ^_^
Oh man I am jelous of you for getting that job! It's such a hard industry to get into and people in Michigan appear to be getting it handed to them...SO NOT FAIR! But well done and I hope you enjoy it muchly!
lol.. it must be a common sight where you live, to see a girl in a carpark jumping in front of a camera :P lol hahaha unless you cut out all the people shouting at you or beeping the horn:P
aww kewl to here you got into the course:P doctor who Rules :P ha
Technically... you're gonna be an adult from like 18-100. So if you're in your 5th year out of 80+ of adulthood, you'd qualify as a "young adult". (Yes I know YA is mostly catered for people who don't actually qualify for the A-part)
I'm with you-- I'm 23, and every time I go into the YA section of the bookstore/library, I feel like I should be wearing an "I am a library student" badge. Parents give you sideways looks.
It's far worse for my male friend who is a middle school teacher. Awkward!
I'm glad to have so much support in this. I felt so silly, standing there in the YA fic section. But as my friends tell me, it's not exactly as though I look out of place. ;-)
Almost Twenty... and I still love young Adult Fiction... I think I will love it forever!
"regular fiction" okay.. but knida hard to relate to sometimes. like "Next thing of My List" is a fabulous book but i found it hard to see things through the eyes of a thirty something year old woman.
Eh, I'm 24 and still read young adult fiction. It's weird, 'cause when I was of an age to read YA fiction, I read adult fiction. I guess I'm making up for it now. =)
lol don't worry we totally understand why u haven't made a video in a while, so no punish required. By the way there were a few times in that video in which i'm like "Oh my god monica is gonna get hit by a car, MOOVVVEEE!!!" XD
I'm still on the first book! Octavian Nothing has been taking up most of my time. I've only been reading Dresden Files in the car when I'm waiting for my friends to show up places. So far so good though!
Sweet! I read most of it (most as in all but 70 or so pages) when I was home this past weekend. I'll have it waiting for me when I finish up finals week and get home! :D
Congratulations. That is so super cool. All of the books you have read or currently reading are on my list. I need to read more. Glad to have you back, we missed you. :)

I'm a naughty teddy bear fan... ask about it if you haven't gotten it. Nate made it up.

haha, is that the same as a dirty teddy bear? Nate made that one too... it's a regular teddy bear with mocha added? :-)
And who are you? We seem to have friends in common... ;-)

oh, I mentioned the naughty teddy bear to Trevor today, and he says HE was the one who made it up... Nate's got some competition!! lol
