"The Suffering", which is the most scariest game that is free. Its more scary that most commericial games too. It's scared the shit out of me and it's an epic game. It's available as freeware from some sites.

Also "Penumbra", the prequel released before one of the scariest PC Games ever made, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Penumbra: Overture.

Some of these are okay, but The Outbreak was terrible. For a Choose Your Own Adventure type of game your choices are REALLY limited and only one path is actually winnable. Sometimes the choices and consequences don't even make sense. A really wasted potential.

It's a very, very short game and probably nowhere close to being as frightening as the games in this video, but it is most definitely tense, atmospheric and worth a try.
