If China wants it's money back, the US will pay up with it, and it will still have some left over. This is more complicated issue then some might think. America is the superpower and so were empires before America. Such as GB, Ottoman and then Roman and Greek empires. Most of these cultures at the time shared similar values of thinking they are better then everybody. Word barbarian came from Alexander the Great. of course it does, but not in that sense, it's no different than if 2 identical businesses are across the street from each other, one grossed 2 million in sales that year, the other 500k, one has 3 times the amount of customers the other does, that's the only sense one is "better" than the other. Other than that, they both deserve respect, both are ran by human beings and both have a right to be there. Example, Ive met Canadians online, or through traveling outside of the USA, they say, oh so, where are you from, I say Midwest USA, first thing they want to do is start arguing with me about the "USA bastards" and "Oh your government this and that" , dude, i don't represent the history of America, I didnt make the laws, i do not enforce the law, i didnt make our military the greatest thats graced this earth, nor our nation the greatest that's graced this earth, does that make the USA better?

After many years, it climbed back to the top. The U.S. economy flourished followed by a small recession in the 70's then another "boom." The U.S. economy has it's ups and downs. It's called the "Invisible Hand" of economics. When it goes down, it always comes back up. Before you know it, we'll be center stage. It's not arrogance. It's fact.
