I hate how Ziva and Tony aren't together... I believe it was healthy for the show not putting them as a couple at that moment, but damn it was just so perfect! And I get it, the rules, but guy rescues me from death, fuck the police and Gibbs (<3) rules.

Before this episode I was never expecting to see Gibbs back in his Sniper gear and then when DiNozzo said, "Remember when i told you my boss was a sniper." Then BANG a shot came through the window and the camera zoomed in on Gibbs. My opinion one of the most intense episodes. It was anticipated since the Finale of Season 5, the whole trust issue between Ziva and DiNozzo, and when Vance decided to split-up the whole team, granite the reason was huge, but still it was the agency's best team.

the scene of Ziva and the realization, as she was being hugged by Abby said it all " This is my true family....I am home!" This right here made me devoted to the series for as long as it lasts. This to me is Bellisarros (I know I spelled the man's name wrong) best production since MAGNUM PI, which I followed faithfully until Magnum stood on the rocks over looking the Ocean with his daughter by his side, as he returned to the navy, and ended the series. I also realized I too had to grow up!

Gotta love the fact that Gibbs in this scene scaled a mountain in 30 seconds. And the spine tingling moment when you see him standing there in his gillie suit and just says "lets go home" Gibbs is badass.

The best thing about the scene is Tonys behavior. He is the true hero of the rescue mission. He made the plan, he set himself in the dangerous zone, and he he won the time he needed for Gibbs to shoot Saleem.

And still he is the only one, who don't celebrate the succes. Notice, that he just goes to his desk, and sit staring ;)

Not quite the whole plan. Tony's plan was to go into Saleem's camp and kill everyone. That's a problem: the evidence he presented is only a satellite image and a vague report from Chad Dunham. That's all. Vance needed proof that Saleem's at that camp. Tony's plan clearly defines "circumstantial evidence." Gibbs changed Tony's plan to an intelligence-gathering mission to prove that Saleem is at that camp.

Yes, Tony's still awesome in this scene but it was Gibbs who made his plan better.

Every one of these characters have very rich pasts that can be explored as they relate to the current cases...like what we just we saw with Tony in S8's "Baltimore." It's one of the geniuses of both Don Bellisario and Shane Brennan. The formula is there and it started with Gibbs and the loss of his wife and daughter. Only Abby and McGee have pasts that haven't had their own episodes yet. Maybe there will be a case where McAbby will also collide as we would hope for in Tiva.
