I never got to read Thunderbolts so this my first introduction to villains pretending to be heroes.
I was all right with the first issue and I was ok with Bendis using the same intro structure as Mighty Avengers (which i actually hate now, not for being bad, but just because Secret Invasion royally fucked it) I like the characters so I'll go back to the book store and read the next issue possibly the whole trade, but I'm not buying it...well maybe for the art lol
I liked DA very much but the one (two...) that I didn't like was the way the pencils drawn the thighs and knees of the characters, the thighs are huge and the knees (especially Ares) are very thin!
the second thing I didn't like was the way the pencils drawn the Iron Patriot Armor:
it look like flexible steel plates attached together and instant of make it look like an armor it look like tights custom...
Kurt Busiek was a better Avengers writer than Bendis as well.
I didn't buy it (3.99 book) but from the descriptions I read the plot sounds like Osborn is is the Vince Mcmahon character that ran the WWE in the attitude era. Luke Cage will probably be the Steve Austin character
You haven't bought a $3.99 book yet? Good. Take it from someone who has imprudently spent $4 on NA and regrets it dearly, no Marvel or Avenger title is worth that much. None! Save that cash and buy an Iron Man. Though thier not in Marvel spotligh, their far more worthwhile books.
Yup, haven't bought a $3.99 book from Marvel. The second biggest factory in my town closed today, the economy is going to crap and Marvel want to increase their prices by 33%?
I totally agree that comics just aren't value for money at that price.
I've been tempted by Iron Man lately and I like Larroca's art so I think thats a good call!
