i have both cars, 2000 civic si and a 2004 lancer ralliart, and they are both about the same speed just the lancer wins most of the times ive raced them. the lancer is a single cam but it does have alot more litres than the civic. 2.4 vs 1.6

2005 ralliart has 2.4 mivec- i have one. a sleepr car..very good torque 30 more than a Si..Si has more hp but always makes low tq cars..the ralliart is no joke it will stomp..the Si may take it after 100mph but who cares by then..most driving is 0-80mph anyway and ralliart will crush at those speeds, has an extra cam profile compared to Vtec

@deejaylovesandi I can verify that! My mom's 2002 Lancer ES(no mivec and had the 4spd auto) would beat most hondas. I can beat a honda fit no problem. Or at least a 2008 Fit with autotragic. Found out that the Lancer is a good push car. I pushed my 61 Chevy truck when it threw a rod about 5 miles at 50mph with no problem besides pushing it up a dirt incline/center divider on the I10 in Arizona(no traction). Backed them both up and got some speed, made it over.

first that foo is my cousin and that gray car is a civic si 2000 B16A2 1.6 dohc and is mine too im the one driving the lancer the difrence is

civic:magnaflow exhaust , aem cai , vafc II , nology hot wires and msd ingnition coil and amplifier..

the lancer: aem pulleys, injen cai, and magnaflow exhaust.. its all.

the two or both make the 1/4 mile in 14.8 aprox.. lancer is faster after the 5 speed..
