Well what's the fuzz all about now? The new government gave citizenship to 400.000 immigrants. The previous one gave citizenship to 800.000 and as it is known immigrants are about 10-15% maximum. So this is old news.

That's simplified, as I'm sure you realise, but it's part of the problem. Illegal economic immigrants should of course be deported. Real refugees, however, should be sheltered (and this Greece fails at). Whether they should qualify for citizenship after some time though is debatable.

But the people who should have some rights are those who come to work in Greece legally. The children born to these people have no real rights and need to get a work permit at 18 to be able to stay in Greece. Naturalisation laws should be in place for those who have always lived in Greece and the adults who work there legally and contribute to the economy.
