if you listen to this idiot panjabiwarrior, this great athlete not only did 266kg,but he never existed.no amount of pointing out his video mattered.sad.
steroids will do absolutely nothing if a stimulas is not present.you sit on your ass and take 2000 mg of test suspension you get nothing but a sore ass.you must work out harder and more often due to increased recovery ability.and after awhile, the testostrerone receptor sites become downgraded, resulting in loss of systematic anabolic effect.
according to official i.o.c test results-these go back to 1968,tarenenko NEVER tested positive for any anabolics or other banned sustances.this information is readily available on the internet and gives the athletes name, substance found that was a banned substance and country of origin.alexxv,redding,tarenenko-none showed up on ANY banned or positive result lists.look them up.
I m from Russia. and I think. that he didn't use roids. Even if he used them it doesn't matter, modern athlets also using steroids, sory for bad english
@iskanderzzz But it does matter, a natural lifter is way more impressive than someone who has used illegal substances to improve their results, and anabolic steroids improves a lifters performance incredibly much.
This is an amazing human achievement, steroids or not, roids don't make your achievements any less amazing, if your a lazy pussy without roids, then you start using them, guess what, your still a lazy pussy!, enhancing the human body should be smiled on, not frowned upon, i don't care how many drugs you pump into your system, you would still need to be a truly rare and brilliant athlete to do this, this is crazy impressive!
@kingschnitz ok so take off 100kg for the "roids" because thay are all power full. you must be able to do 160 with out them like every one else? grow up kid try and learn to appreciate others achievements and you may get your own strength from it
@kingschnitz Very narrow-minded. Birds of a feather, I suppose. Your logic is like saying 99% is to man and 1% is to drugs. Using that logic, I can say that the 1% can enable me to do anything, ignoring all the years of training. Sure drugs can be bad, but saying that one relies on mostly on drugs is completely far fetch'd. Olympic athletes have to use supplements because they are at maximum efficiency of a human being. Olympic lifting also takes a lot of training, something roids can't replace.
The amazing he titled to the side at the jerk move and was able to recover. At this high weight, you simply can never recover, but he must have good squat, possibley around to 370 KG squat to be able to adjust, that is amazing
@khonfosh He did 380 with a 2 second stop at the bottom. And I mean low, low, low bottom, not a mechanically assisted cheating partial wide stance butt squat like powerlifters whose legs are inferior because they don't do full range lifts. Anyone can use a heavier bar when the depth is so shallow and the exercise is so badly cheapened. In reality, using less weight builds more strength because the weakest area finally gets attention---the range below parallel to the absolute bottom.
wow and that was only his 2nd attempt O_o does anyone know what his 3rd attempt was? i mean of course he failed it but does anyone know what weight he tried for his 3rdf attempt
Arnold is absolutely nobody to real weightlifters. Swarz pumped muscles just to be beautiful, for "decoration". It's good for Hollywood star but has nothing to real strengh.
It's most bullshit to compare bowing "some springy things" of an athlete who just prepares to perfom and Shwarz on video.
And there are guessing and there are facts. You can guess as much as u can, nobody is interested in ur "professional" guessing. LOL.
@Manzarek812 Well considering he was deadlifting 710 pounds at 19, I wouldn't say he was nothing to it. All his training up until he moved to america was strength training 5x5, no pumping etc, he competed as a powerlifter before anything, you douchebag.
After not competing in the '88 Olympics due to pneumonia, this was him showing Kurlovich who "THE MAN" was. And still is. Taranenko snatched 210 in this meet, on todays weights, that is a 476 kg total. Take that EVERYBODY else!
Tarenenko has never been tested positive for steroids, and he competed in a sport which was and still is seriously harassed by WADA - no other athletes get tested so often. These guys outperform any other strength athlete and they are regularly tested, unlike powerlifters and strongmen who are literally on juice year round, even at lower levels.
@JAYBETTAH You can toss angry words around but your facts are worthless. By the way, how come Mark Henry could only place 13th in international competition? You are now BLOCKED because you're a useless person.
@JAYBETTAH No, he was about 325 pounds and did about 50% over body weight plus another 100 pounds. A good lift in any weight class based on percent. It was 80% over and above body weight. A typical 200 pound man would have to do 360 to match it on percent. A smallish 139 pound man would have to do 252 pounds to equal this lift on percent.
roids doesnt automatically make you superhuman.you have to lift and lift heavy.these guys are juiced but they also work very hard to get where they are.
Crazy, insane. People who don't oly lift dont understand how much courage it takes to throw your body under that weight. Takes alot of heart. In between the clean and the jerk, while the bar is draped on your delts, alot of funny things go through your head.... Any weakness in one's resolve will be exposed. These Russians are tough fuckers
@tscharf75 excalty it's like lifting a car engine over your head in just a few seconds weight lifters are strongest humans on earth Leonid Tarenenko 266kg (585lbs!) lift is the strongest.
did he do a third attempt in this contest? cause this lift showed is the second attempt. it would have been cool if he tried to do a even heavier lift!
@w8tfield He orderer 270 for the last attempt, but didn't return to stage before time run out. Probably he just couldn't recover soon enough after this lift to try once more.
no really, I have a picture of Reding using one of them fucking Arnold bending bar things with the spring, you bend it into a "U" shape, but Serge couldnt do it I guess. And I got another video of Alexeyev in the warm-up room at the Worlds, he is using one of them springy things you use with your hand, and he cant squeeze the fucker, so he gets pissed and throws it real hard, and hits Rigert right in the fucking head.

I was thinking about getting my young boy involved in olympic lifting, to make him stronger for sports and I was gonna start him on a really light cycle of steroids. I was thinking like 3 or 4 anadrol 50s once a week, and then maybe 5 or 10 cc's of Equipoise. Maybe after he is 14 or so, I would start him on HGH, but I want to start slow. Better to error on the light side. I hope these drugs help the problems he is having with his knees. He complains when he does full squats.
I bet they do lots of curls. Obviously the more you can curl the more you could lift. Oh yeah, and calf extensions. You could do just these two things and really be good at this sport. Do they use them surgical tubing things you hook on your door and pull it all over the place?
For good reason the cj is called king of lifts--it tests more muscle groups than any other lift. Back, thighs, hips, grip strength, traps, and arms for supporting load overhead. Taranenko could have excelled at PL having done a bottom pause 380kg squat. That's rock bottom and a pause.
Fuck the steroid bullshit, this guy is a legend, and this record, with or without steroids is simply stunning! For those us involved in the sport understand that what we r looking at is amazing!
@TRAPPZZ no, not really. If you are a second string lifter looking inwards yes you understand. Howevever if you are world class and looking in your saying, fuck I wish I was on that much roids as them. Straight up this is is the reason why these records are yet and maybe never to be broken for the all time.
@freedomsoldier187 - I respectfully disagree. Do you know how many "first class" lifters were using roids and still did not get even close to doing this? The anwser is ALL OF THEM! Do roids assist, yes; however a lift like this goes beyod roids, and those of us that have been there know this very well. But thanks for responding.
