I'll be joining you there! But that's a classic comedic technique right there, they should've known better than to use it in a serious ad.
In fact a silent film from the '20s has Harold Lloyd trying to move a frame-house over a railroad, where it gets stuck and we keep seeing an approaching train; he moves it over before the train comes, but right away a second train comes from the other direction where he moved the house to and destroys it!
This is an Adelaide ad, filmed partly on the Belair line (where a 3000 class railcar is found alongside a PN freighter). I think it was franchised out to NZ though because it was on TV there too when I visited. The Adelaide Metro train is the dead giveaway, I didnt see any Comeng or Clyde 3000/3100 class railcars in NZ.
Isn't it the truth, the more the goverment tries to be serious about 'public servie announcments' and warnings and suchlike the funnier they turn out. You should see some of our acc ads.
those trains and the train signs are adelaide metro trains, you can see the logo at 00:22. and I saw these on TV and i'm from Adelaide, not too sure they are from NZ?
But beware of that deceptive second train

You're kidding me right? These ads were done in NZ and boy, did they scare the shit out of people. I think they're really well done.
Well, the nz version was anyway.

I'll admit this ad was effective, it's been a long while since i've seen it though.
