  • i wish they would make a trilogy. Eric should do it if requested. It's the movie that put him on the hollywood map.

  • I give it 10 years. Then Hollywood's unoriginal ass will remake it with Robert Pattinson.

  • Who the FUCK would even think of remaking such a masterpiece!? "Oh you know, these works by Shostakovich sound a bit stale, how about a remake?".

  • @MegaBillylovesyou Ok, I got what you mean now. Yeah, it was Eric of who I used to live 10 minutes from when he was in Tullamarine and I was in Broadmeadows. His old man used to work at Caterpillar next to where the Ring Road is.

  • @MegaBillylovesyou ...who's this...Eric or Chopper? I know Chopper was in Collingwood...I don't think Eric would be though.

  • Good - why the hell would they need to remake such a classic. It was perfect in every way. Maybe a sequal would be good - about Copper's transition in the celeb world...but even then I would say best leave it be. Chopper is an amazing film - Austrailians make some great films I love their vision.

  • it would be sick if they remade and showed all the steet fighting and the other parts of his life cause theres still so much more of mark reads life to showcase

  • is that a guy or girl anyone know

  • I finally saw it. That's a movie that instantly went into my collection of kick-ass classics. It's inspired me to go find the books Mr. Read has written, that's for sure.

  • I say, if it aint broke, dont fix it. A masterpiece like Chopper doesnt need a remake.

  • the movie is nothing like the books i thought maybee they were thinking of making a new movie closer to the truth , like there was no neville bartos he never existed he was made up from italian or greek dealers thet he robbed all those put together was neville bartos and thats just one example so it would be good to see a remake which is not as much fictionised..

  • SOOOOO glad to hear that ... I hate sequels and Chopper is a stand alone classic

  • Wikipedia says he's agreed to do a sequel to Chopper...

  • "Thou shalt not touch Chopper" alright! There was talk in getting Eric Bana to play Chopper in the Australian mini series "Underbelly" about Australia's underworld of the 80sa where Chopper had a part in but of course it was only rumours.

  • Nope, Eric is down to earth, he's not one of your typical wanker Hollywood people. The movie "Chopper" is a one-off, it's not a prequel, sequel, whatever!

  • yup...I heard the rumor and I just had to ask 'cause thou shall not touch "Chopper," it's one of those untouchable films you know?

  • @kevkoala He's from Melbourne ...

  • @Nautilus1972 ...I know he's from Melbourne...I used to live 10 kms from him...I lived in Broadmeadows and he lived in Tullamarine where his parents still live.

  • Hey Manny! Saw clips of Chopper and it looked interesting. Maybe if a few palms were greased he would do it? I thought Star would be a trendy film like Wolverine so I WAS going to pass. Then heard Nimoy would cameo and while sad Shantner wouldnt I had to see it. Went opening night and really loved it! Yet doubt that a sequel would hold up. BTW YouTube has Bills reaction to Stars clip. He mentions his book he wrote of Spock and Jim and how they met. I read it and wish it was a movie!
