cfw=custom firmware, firmware that has been modified. search guides to make one, or maybe get a local game shop near you to do it

from v1.0 onwards, u can use the pc google maps version to first create a cache on the pc then transfer it to the psp. great if u don't have a wireless network 2 connect to on the psp.
