The Shanksville site, regardless of shredded metal being present or not, does not fit with what should have been the strength of the impact. You cannot claim the strength of impact that basically vaporized the plane and all occupancy and then have it result in a uniform, symmetrical 30+ ft dimple even though the plane supposedly nosed into the ground ( per FFA investigation ) at 40 degrees. There'd be a huge crater missing a significantly obvious portion of it's crest in the direction of impact.
As to the supposed "wing scars ", the plane would have to impact at almost dead 90 degrees with far less kinetic energy behind it to leave marks that perfectly preserved, also negating the assumed energy expelled at impact

The Shanksville site, regardless of shredded metal being present or not, does not fit with what should have been the strength of the impact. You cannot claim the strength of impact that basically vaporized the plane and all occupancy and then have it result in a uniform, symmetrical 30+ ft dimple even though the plane supposedly nosed into the ground ( per FFA investigation ) at 40 degrees. There'd be a huge crater missing a significantly obvious portion of it's crest in the direction of impact.
