I like the AA because it reminds me alot of Jeremiah Green from Modest Mouse's Drums. It sounds very raw but also a little softer then the others. Jeremiah is a huge inspiration of mine so I like drums that sound like his.

All the rides played with the backing track sound the same, but without it AAX sounds awesome and you can get lost into it.

To be honest though, listening to these 4 cymbals, the difference is only slight really, you'd probably get that amount of diversity testing 4 exact models side by side !! Get out there and play them for the true test!!

@Drumlover182 Not in this case, in my opinion. I think the HHX raw bell dry ride is darker than the AAX in this video. That being said, I've noticed that in certain series of cymbals, like the x-plosions and stage crashes, the HHX will end up sounding BRIGHTER than the AAX equivalent. So yeah, what you're saying does happen, just not here I think.
