Wait, Nyan Cat as a C16 demo? This is an interesting idea to get the Internet meme onto a great computer.
I like the copying of Youtube into the demo. The actual animation is spot on with the palette limitations, which makes the image possible for the C16. The music is great too, fitting the quality sound chip
Great work. An odd choice to use but a great version of it on the C16. We are waiting for a C64 version however, that would be also awesome.
@nlicky C64 user have just tried and the result isn't so smart, BBC users tried too, and so did Atari2600 and ZX Spectrum. I know I'm partisan about that, but Plus/4 (or C16+64K) version is truly the cutest ATM. The key is a very smart'n'skilled coding in order to preserve 6 big bitmaps embedded with the code itself. Cheap talking: see the demo's blue sky around the cat? The code and the digitized music lie and are hidden all around there :D
@CaptainPoovabladoo: Check the CSDb now, it's released there since august 14. The C=64 is STILL a way better machine, I promise. :) Make sure also to witness the new Booze Design demo called 1991.
The C128 would be a better machine to do it on
