at first i thought it was about ecstasy then i listened to it more and then i thought it was about twincest and then i had to tell my brain to shut up and just enjoy the song :)
this music was made for young people on MDMA and it sure as hell does a good job of making everything very sentimental and cathartic. However it ignores any problems and ignoring problems does not solve them. I guess that's how I feel about all of Of Montreal's music.
@Shindig109 lol i never made the mdma connection but suppose it def makes sense. if it is avoiding real problems id say its in all of the lyrical abstractions. instead of complete sincereity everythings in a weak code.
@Shindig109 Good thing no one cares what how you "feel about all of Of Montreal's music." Considering you know nothing about it. This song is about his relationship with his wife, and nothing to do with the use of MDMA. Just because people who take MDMA listen to OM does not mean that is why the music is written DA. That would be belittling his whole career which is ongoing (10+albums). Dub-step is music made for young people on MDMA. Jam-band nonsense is about the drug use. Recognize!
I think this is one of the most amazingly beautiful crafted songs. I could easily listen to this track on loop for hours... (another song that I found had that "stick on loop" vibe was "Pi" - a resent song by Kate Bush - well worth checking out)
Hey everyone, thanks for your great response to my video! YouTube is good and all, but I highly recommend downloading the video. The timing, flow and quality are all much better.
Such a good song.

in certain cases, such as this song, the volume can't get quite loud enough for my liking

I don't think this is about twincest. Considering the album is very centric on his wife, Nina Twin, it's probably a reference to her.
