  • Thank you so much for this video.. I appreciate the time and the great effort to educate others. Be blessed.

  • @goran21715 goran you are a piece of shit, go qooted yimookh.

  • Wasn't Assyria completely scattered in 612 BC?

  • @wikieditspam Hello, around 50+ percent of Assyria was scattered and slaughtered during the fall of Nineveh in 612BC, However a large remant stayed in Nineveh and continued to live there for many thousand years, these people today still live there, they have ancient villages and churches which date back over 1400+ years, here are some quotes from Assyriologists that have commented on the fall of Assyria. Enjoy and thanks for watching this video!

  • @wikieditspam "The political power of Assyria was gone, but its people, culture and religion lived on. The Achaemenids preferred not to interfere in the internal affairs of their satrapies as long as the flow of tribute and taxes continued undisturbed (Dandamayev and Lukonin 1989, 104). This was no problem in Assyria, whose population continued to venerate the Great King as the source of peace and security." Professor and Director of Assyriology - Simo Parpola, University of Helsinki - Finland

  • @wikieditspam "Assyria was a vast and densely populated country, and outside the few urban centers life went on as usual." Simo Parpola, "Assyrians after Assyria", Journal of Assyrian Academic Studies, Vol. XIII No. 2, 1999, Chicago Ill.

"There is no reason to believe that there would be no racial or cultural continuity in Assyria, since there is no evidence that the population of Assyria was removed." J. A. Brinkman

  • @Atouraya2165 "The destruction of the Assyrian empire did not wipe out its population. They were predominantly peasant farmers, and since Assyria contains some of the best wheat land in the Near East, descendants of the Assyrian peasants would, as opportunity permitted, build new villages over the old cities and carry on with agricultural life, remembering traditions of the former cities. After seven or eight centuries and various vicissitudes, these people became Christians." -H.W.F. Saggs

  • Anyone who has half a brain, KNOWS very well what our Assyrian/Sumerian/Babylonian/Akkadian ancestors did, & also knows how much evidence of their ownership of our land exists. To all the Kurdish haters out there who are pathetically trying desperately to rewrite history of the land of Ashur, please stay ignorant like that! It only makes us look better than you. To the Kurds who show real respect to our history & true ties to our land, much respect! Cheers!

  • @goran21715 Piss of ya scum bag!!

  • @Atouraya2165

Well, actullay there were ''Kurdistan'' in ancient times. You see the Sumerians mentioned a group of people living in a area known as, the ''Land of Karda'', then we have the Guti people who ruled over the Sumerians. Also according to Igor Diaknov, the name Media or Medes did not exist until later, and that the Assyrians reffered to them as Kuti or Qutis, which some scholars belive is an ancient varation of the name ''Kurd'' in ancient semitic languages.

  • @Bokan995 you not kurd and kurd never born one foolish like you , in ancient when these dirty semite conflicte with tribes they record that tribes, the assyrian was record medes in the name of guti and chadean was record in the name Qurdea , the ottmani had many tribes ony ottmani was record and amayyed and like that abbasid evry one had many trbes but fool like you running to tail of kurdish enemy dont understand onlt thinking . you like pig all these filthy ASSyrian cursing you and you silent

  • The first scientific excavations there were conducted by a German expedition (1903–13) led by Walter Andrae. Ashur was a name applied to the city, to the country, and to the principal god of the ancient Assyrians.

The site was originally occupied about 2500 BCe by a tribe that probably had reached the Tigris River either from Syria or from the south

there were non exsistance of ASSyrian befor 2500BC and other fact is the correspending of king of Lullubi withe ugarite king in 2500 BC

  • The majority of Europe speaks an Indo-European language that appears to have its roots in a Proto-Language that is believed to have originated between the Caucasus Mountains and ancient Mesopotamia.Caucasian "race of people"is an invention in 1795 by Johann Friedrich Blumenbach,a German, who based his conclusion on the beauty of a Georgian female skull found near Mount Caucasus. These people believe the Caucasian people began to fracture about 5,000 B.C.this just mean great Kurdistan historical

  • For the mid-second millennium, we know less about the history of Assyria, although we know that it became a vassal of the powerful empire of Mitanni, and know (from the Assyrian King List) that there were thirty-five rulers until Aššur-Uballit I (1364-1328). During his reign, Assyria becomes "visible" again. He and the Hittite king Suppiluliumas attacked Mitanni, and Assyria regained its independence. This is the beginning of the Middle Assyrian period.

  • NUZI, ancient city in N.E.Iraq at the present site of Yorghan Tepe, about 10 miles (16 km.) S.W. of Arrapha, modern Kirkuk, near the foothills of southern Kurdistan. Excavations were begun at Nuzi in 1925 by E. Chiera and were continued through 1931 under the joint auspices of the American School of Oriental Research, Harvard University,& the University Museum of Pennsylvania. The earliest occupation of the site can be traced to prehistoric times. During the middle of the third millennium B.C.

The fall of Nineveh shocked the ancient world. The Jewish prophet Nahum described the Median armies advancing to the city that had once ruled the Near East.

An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. [...]

    The shields of his soldiers are red;

  • @OKurdishFascismO Hello there Iranian terrorist, please view the quotes on this video it all proves you wrong.

  • By 650 B.C. the Assyrians had conquered a vast empire, stretching between the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, and the Caspian Sea

  • This Empire was ruled by a king, who lived in the capital city of Nineveh. The king appointed governors to rule provinces, to collect taxes, and to maintain order.

Because of the cruelty and unfair treatment of the Assyrians, they were despised by the people they had conquered. In 612 B.C. the Chaldeans formed an alliance with the Medes and overthrew them, bringing the Empire down.

  • Thank you for this video. I am a Kurd from Iran, and I love Assyrian people and your rich history :)

    Greetings!

  • @Bokan995 No worries thanks for watching! Shlama to you and your people :)

  • @Atouraya2165

Dude, I'm Kurdish - and don't care about him. The majority of the Kurds respect every ethnic group, and all we want is to live in peace.

Peace and good people be with you :)

  • @Bokan995 to kery ne hoshtri berelai

  • @KurdiinElaazig23 Thank you for your very educated comment.

  • The Assyrians will live on forever greetings from Belgium !!! (Motherland Geznakh)

  • Great video 10/10.. where did u get the assyria map at 1:10 from.. plz tell me where did u get it from cause i cant find it anywhere.

  • 3rd... being on Planet Earth from Chicago for 27 years i've learned a great deal about my "God chosen" assyrian ppl, I learned that we all will hate on and screw over one another eventually, our females are bust downs on the low key, with enough nerve to hold up a false head as if their "worthy of respect" or "shareef" when they share body fluids with other races, completely destroying our originality, so please, don't say we're God's people... Because we're NOT. We're a cursed nation of Gypsy's

  • Wow, I mean WOW, the Ignorance..

    Get ReaL Will Ya?

1st off... why do u have the track "You can hate me now" by "P-Diddy"

On an "Assyrian History" Presentation YouTube video???

    OK?

    2nd... What's all this... "We're God's chosen people"

We're obviously not, we Ain'T Got ShiT!!! We have no central bank, no gold, no nation (Land owned by us for you morons)

And we have no originality, I mean please our "sisters" are interracialling at the clubs, gimme a break, we're low class KURDS AND PERSIANS!

  • @GeorgeI84 You are obviously not an Assyrian, 1stly can use what ever track i want and hate me now by diddy seems like a good enough one considering all the hate we have been getting, 2nd we are gods chosen people he has kept us Assyrians around for this long without a nation, he calls us the work of his hands in Isaiah 19:23-25. You are mentioning money and gold this does not make us closer to god, we might be poor but we are rich at heart, we are christian. We aren't kurds you might be one.

  • @Atouraya2165 1stly... I appreciate a stand up person, you didn't cuss me out so u have class, and I "might" be a kurd, shoot, we all might be! lol, and I'm not trying to mix material wealth and land ownership in with spirituality with God... my point with that is that we dont network amongst each other, we don't accomplish and establish with one another, we're fucked up like gypsies are, no land, no nothing, we hate on each other, our nation is desolating, I have no control over it. CONTINUED..

  • @Atouraya2165 2nd... Think of how we got to the empire we had, we used blood and violence, and then we rave and rant at the muslims when they establish a righteousness to use violence when necessary, and for the records, I dont give a shit about anyone, so please dont think i'm defending muslims, or anyone, I cant stand the entire human race, especially my own ppl, national pride is a sin, i've lived on planet earth for 27 years and seen some shit, and gained much wisdom, CONTINUED.......

  • @Atouraya2165 I am Kurd and Atouraya is right George. Assyrians do have alot of history. In fact all of Iraq used to be Assyria. And there's not anything called "low class Kurds and Persians" we all have a history, including yourself! I think it's a shame that Assyrians are left with nothing, I hope you do get your nation back! Greeting from a Kurd!

  • @YourSmile86 GREAT COMMENT

  • @YourSmile86 Thanks for the comment :)

  • @GeorgeI84 funny thing is ur right. were nowhere near what we were, we were once kings and queens now were like fuckin gypsies getting married to kurds and shit. fuckin disgusting

  • @psmx7 who do u think u r..... dont try to tell us assyrians who we r... people like u r the ones who r preventing the assyrians from doing anything.... if u were really smart u would know that the assyrians were on the face of this earth longer then the syriac church.... so really u originate from the assyrian orthodox church..... and by the way dont call us kurds. ASS HOLE!.... look at this little 8 year old tryin to tell me were i come from.

  • @psmx7 Our Church is Universal thats why you see Indians in it.. and you have NO proof, there is no proof to show that Assyrians were all wiped out! "There is no reason to believe that there would be no racial or cultural continuity in Assyria, since there is no evidence that the population of Assyria was removed." J. A. Brinkman

  • @Atouraya2165

God Bless the Assyrians, His chosen people!!

  • @Pazuzu773 The fall of Nineveh shocked the ancient world. The Jewish prophet Nahum described the Median armies advancing to the city that had once ruled the Near East.

An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. [...]

    The shields of his soldiers are red;

the warriors are clad in scarlet.

The metal on the chariots flashes

    on the day they are made ready;

the spears of pine are brandished.

The chariots storm through the streets,

rushing back and forth through the squares.

  • @psmx7 Assyrians belong to the Syriac Orthodox Curch, Assyrian Church of the east and Chaldean Catholic Church, we identify as Suraye/Suryoye/Aturaye, the first two terms are derived from Surios, the greek word for Assyrian!, there are many facts and quotes from ancient kings concerning the continuation of our people, after christianized in early Assyria (which was called Athura and the roman province Assyria) Assyrians became missionaries spreading the word of the lord to Japan,China and india

  • @psmx7 hahahahah nice joke! Completely ignore ALL the facts from scholars on this topic hey? Please back up your "claims" with evidence or stfu.

  • wow you from Fairfield mate me too :D

  • We were Assyrian, we are Assyrian, and we shall remain Assyrian!, Khaya Atur!!

  • Have you ever since such defiance from any other race like this? We are fucking Aryeh

  • @Assyria4eva we will defend it to the end of time just remember that famous quote in ur channel "I am an Assyrian. That is not negotiable" WE ARE THE MIGHTY ASSYRIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Assyria4eva we will defend it to the end of time just remember that famous quote in ur channel "I am an Assyrian. That is not negotiable" WE ARE THE MIGHTY ASSYRIANS!!

  • Everyone should read the book (Ancient & Modern Assyrians) before commenting here. I read it twice, & it's the best & most truthful book on Our Ashurian/Assyrian Identity & history ever published, loaded with references from Persians, Romans, Greeks, Parthians, & other nations who all recognized Assyria as the Land of the Ashurians, Land of Asoris. This book should be used as our Testament & rightful claim to our lands in front of all the official Government Courts of the world!

    Khayya Ashur!

  • @Nimroud Thanks! i just purchased the book off amazon right now :)

  • @Atouraya2165 No problem khon, make sure you spread the knowledge of this powerful book, which is a wonderful weapon against our enemies, whoever they may be! This book proves our rights to our lands, our identity & history, without a doubt. Anyone who speaks against us speaks with empty words, & are simply jealous of the richness & glory of our lasting impressions our ancestors left on the face of this earth, instead they should admire us, but they are weak & uneducated. I pity them.

  • @Atouraya2165 I just got the book to right now!!

  • No one is native to Mezopotamia but Assyrians yeah of course.

  • @dataman121 Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, Elamites and Arameans are but they no longer exist as a people but rather remain the DNA of modern Assyrians and even through language (Aramaic) so therefore we are the natives of the land. Dont hate.

  • @Atouraya2165 there is no prof that the aramaic speaking people of iraq are assyrian. assyrians disappeared 2500 years ago .aramaic to christianity is like arabic to islam they are both languages that are not from iraq they are from syria and Palestine .they are west semitic languages ancient assyrian language is extinct .the british in ww1 named the iraqi christians assyrians because they were fighting with them and needed a new identity thats not arab

  • @PROJEK3 Did you completely ignore every piece of evidence that mentioned in this video or are you just semi-retarded ?

  • @dataman121 there is no more aramaic speaking fake assyrians in mesopotamia any more they are done .they are now natives of detroit and Stockholm there are only 7000 remain in mesopotamia thats like a collage population

  • @PROJEK3 actually I don´t have any problem with them I just find it amusing how they try to change History and facts cause there was ones a genocide over Christians in Anatolia while we even have sources and maps made by Europeans showing that only 3 small Regions in whole Anatolia were Majority Christian armenian and Aramaic while the Rest was hardly Armenian kurdish or Armenian turkish mixed but still they deny everything want to change the facts this is not the way to make possible friends

  • @dataman121 The ottomon turks inflicted a genocide on 3 nations, the figures were 30 percent of Turkey was Christian, not its under 1 percent, Genocide and massacres by the Ottomon turks caused nearly 1.5 million Assyrian/Armenian/Greek deaths. Theres many books written about this genocide its also taught in some schools in America.

  • Comment removed

  • @Atouraya2165 who was talking about 30% percent? Don´t mix Assyrians with Armenians 1,3 Mio dead Armenians but this doesen´t includes Assyrians. I am talking about Maps man about regional Maps. Almost 60% of the genocide was made in the West and central Anatolia like Kayseri Izmir and Istanbul not in the East. Ethnic Maps of this time show clearly that not more than 3 small Regions were in majority christian so what are you talking about? Are you denying this?

  • @dataman121 Thats the first thing that you said that is right AMEN!! WoooooooHooooooooooooooooo!!

  • haha look at that map 1:21 only claiming lands of kurds. Why? cause they smell the chance to steal land what isn´t only theres. typical for Assyrian Dogs.

  • @dataman121 Kurds originated in Iran, if they do actually come from the "Medes" then their homeland is in Iran. Not Mesopotamia.

  • @Atouraya2165 You know that Media was over Anatolia Mezopotamia and WestIran do you? And who says that Medes are our only Ancestors? Which folk, expect you Syriacs in the 21 century! claims ancestory back to a dead Nation from Antic? The Autosomal Dna of Assyrians shows more Centralasian blood than those of Kurds. I don´t talk about Haplogroups I talk about autosomal Dna. So shut up There is a big Reason why Kurds, Turks, Iranians and even Chaldean Christians don´t like you guys.

  • @dataman121 My question was not are you natives. My question was do you think you are the only natives of this Region?

  • Khaya ATOUR up Kul Ashuraye

  • Khaya ATOUR up Kul Ashuraye

  • (a)sryian <-- se syiran , kuldan and the other who disagree that they are not assyrian are wrong

  • @aw23aw23 Ashuraya --> Assuraya ---- > Suraya ----> Suryoyo = Assyrian (in English) :)

  • @dayventoma omg beautifuly said man. im quoting that ahahah

  • I know Assyrian history, i like assyrian culture.. we have too uch assyrians here in Armenia and we respect them.. for a milleniums we Armenians and assyrians had lived together, we pass and see much.. we had the same fate with greeks too itd the Genocide in 1915.. we should be always together Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks we are the force... Now turks and kurds are robbing our history and land, only we can stop them... What we have belongs only us REMEMBER... ARMENIA ASSYRIA GREECE FOREVER

  • very interesting !

  • VIVA LA ASSYRIA <3

  • @dayventoma ok i guess u want us to comment let me start off stop dwelling how good u guys r in the past and look into the future u bitches u guys lost ur culture and have no where but to adapt to kurdish hahahahahahhaha bitches

  • @rezosoccerfan Lost the culture by being claimed and swallowed up by another. But the bloodline, Shemitic in all ways, will never die.

  • @scoprios there we go aging -_- omg why do u all dwell on the past ? why dont u guys atleast try and make a future for ur people so us kurds dont have to wipe ur asses for u no more?

  • Im So Proud To Be Assyrian

  • Ancient and modern assyrians? Aren't they the same thing? :p Just kidding...

  • Comment removed

  • Lucian who was syrian in blood didnt hesitate to remind to everyone where he was coming from "he was more greek than many to come after him'' (croiset) and became a unique exampleof the difference between those taking part in the greek agoge and those who were greeks only by the name...

  • @pantokrator79 Greeks called the Assyrians, Syrians (Suraye/Suryoye) ,Syria is a synonym Assyria, watch Professor Simo Parpola's short explanation /watch?v=HbjfCTtcCms

I have read a few sources that say he claimed to be an Assyrian "In his works, Lucian refers to himself as a "Syrian", "Assyrian" and "barbarian", perhaps indicating "he was from the Semitic and not the imported Greek population" of Samosata."

  • Thanks for the positive comments guys =]

  • It was good to see the name of Robert D. Biggs run across the screen.

For those who don't know, Prof. Biggs was an Assyriology professor at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, and was, for many years, editor of Journal Of Near Eastern Studies.

And was a staff member, of the prestigious, Chicago Assyrian [Akkadian] Dictionary.

He has been retired since 2004, but the work he has done for the work of Assyriology is required reading for all students.

    Good job.

  • @goflamesgo93 Thanks khona :)

  • @PatriotKurdish Please support your claims with reliable evidence, as you can see this video gives sources and evidence to support the Ancient Assyrian connection with the modern Assyrians.

Ive done some research on kurds and it turns out no one really knows where they are from, they have believed to have migrated from Iran...

  • @Atouraya2165 right on brother kurds are jealous little fucks!!

  • what donkistan , where is that?
