  • Unfair advantage? Your a douche the Buell had more power but AMA made them add extra weight to the bike to compensate for the power! (HP to weight ratio was even the Buell had more torque) Buell had 6 wins that year the rest went to the Jap bikes. 6 of them to the second place Yamaha... The Buell was more reliable that year and had more podium finishes. Quit crying already!!!

  • @gsxrpik yes it is still an American company maybe you did not hear the news? Buell is building limited edition street bikes so he can go AMA superbike racing. The new bike weighs less than most sportbikes and will have about 180HP... But cost $40K... After the limit editions are built he will build more affordable bikes around the same motor. Should be a badass bike!!!

  • That is not the 1125RR the 1125RR did not come out until mid season 2009. This video was taken in 2008.

  • prime example of what buell does best the v twin is all about the low end torque, buell places its weight as low down as possible notice the muffler is uner the bike are the ricer bikes focus on top speed but on the track the guy who wins is the one who can go in the corner the fastest and accelerate the fastest after coming out well thats what buell does best, the bike does 60% of this the rider does 39% the last one is all about chance those little things dirt on the track to lose grip etc.

  • I absolutley love Buell, I just bought me a sweet xb9sx today, I also own an 06 R1 and an 02' sportster.

    The typical Harley guy doest like Buell because it's a "Crotch Rocket' and Ricer Boys don't like it because it has a lame Harley Engine in it.

    Buell is a straight up Hooligan Bike, Loud and obnoxious and ton's of fun to drive.

    and dont forget the fuel intake system for the 600 vs 984 argument..

    600 has independant runner--IE one carb/throttle body per cylinder

    the buell has to share one larger TB for it's 2 cylinders

    independant runner is the peak of performance--1 venturi per intake port

    i dont like riding sewing machines but do enjoy a v twin from buell to ducati to aprillia.

  • It wouldn't matter if it was a 750,a 600,a 2000 or whatever. I have, for the record an 1125cr. If I had a 1098r, a gsx-r 600, a fucking moped, or whatever, I can outride most people in my city. Reason being, and here it goes (I'm letting the secret out) it is all about the size of the balls on the bull. You guys (or me, of course...) aren't pro racers. Go out in public, race from light to light, speed, indiscriminately bring the front wheel off the pavement, stop hating, and have some f-ing fun

  • 1125 RR came in 12th in the superbike race yesterday, maybe if they make a 2000 cc bike they will be able to win

  • They'll have to do that against GSXR1000's/R1's/ZX-10R's/1098'­s/CBR1000RR's for it to matter in superbike. I just hope they have some luck developing the bike because it certainly isn't the one to beat in it's intended races.

  • The RR is not a production bike and still is not legal but again harley gets to cheat even in the superbike class, they get to do things the 4 cylinders don't get to do, what does it matter if it is a 2 cylinder(just like they did in NHRA pro stock) it should go by displacement like it used to be, (but then harley would never win anything)

  • Codeman is correct. You are comparing an 600 to an 1125 because the 600 has 4 cylinders and the 1125 has only 2. This is why it's acceptable to race the two against each other. Remember also, the new Buell 1125 is no longer using a Harley engine, but a Rotax instead, same company, I believe, that makes engines for Aprilia, but this time, with the help of Eric Buell to fine tune it to his liking, and I must say, they are kickin ass in pro racing lately. Two wins in a row this week.

  • This a good video, but I have an argument for the Buell. I was at daytona for bike week and they put the 1125rr up against 600cc bikes at the track.. (R6, and 600RR) The Buell did good, but he feel back and could not gain his place back. I love Buells, but the 1125 is one rough as bike.

    Go check out my videos guys. I use to own an XB9S, but I switched to jap bikes! Have to say, I miss the torque!

  • @codeman0535 Actually, the fact that it is almost twice the cc DOES matter. The fact that OTHER twins in the class are only allowed 1000cc or less (vs the Buell's 1125) should say SOMETHING. Even the Aprillia which has the SAME motor builder (Rotax, NOT Harley Davidson) is only allowed 1000cc. Yeah, that's right, that thing is NOT an "American" motorcycle....at least not the engine.

    AMA went out of it's way to find a way to let Buell win. They couldn't do it without an unfair advantage.

  • 750 comes out to have equal power as a 600. 750 is only a 750 because of the added weight. It's just a heaver "600cc" bike. Ever sit on a thousand? Now sit on a 750, no difference in weight. And Buell Riders are not Harley boys. Damn, learn your shit before you run your mouth.

  • Have you ever heard of stroke x bore? it makes a big difference. and plus, 1125cc V-Twin has 86 ft-lbs and 146 HP. I'd say thats pretty low for a V-Twin. Now on the other hand. 600cc with 107hp and about 43 ft-lbs thats pretty high for a 600cc. Where's your argument now?

  • @Sleepa26 if it's an RR then it's one of the rarest Buells ever made. only 3 were produced. normal Rs can be modified to be like an RR but it still won't be a true 100% RR.
