It's hard to understand why he was killed so tragically & why bad things happen to good people. But even through hardships we must still praise Him. Great song, great voice. Sometimes Praise the Lord can be a bit sweet and bit trite when someone is really suffering. this is worship that you can relate to in the bad times as well as the good.
It's hard to realize that the point where our relationship with God becomes real is when it is tested, when we're faced with the choice whether to betray God and end our relationship with God forever or surrender and go through the storm with God' love and grace to a victory that could never come without God's grace, where the facades have no value, where all hope is lost and all that is precious and has served as our lord are dethroned and Christ can take His rightful place as Lord and King.

Christian children are to be raised as Christians, so that when they become adults they will have a strong foundation to resist (or return from) temptation. Otherwise the moral relativism embraced by the world will be drilled into their head for 12 years in public school. Eventually I became born again. But because of my experience I would never subject my own children to this. I want them to be influenced by people after the heart of God.

Facing the possibilities of a seemingly bleak diagnosis in the next few months, all I can do is cling to God. I will yet praise God, and hope in Him. Please do not get caught up in what are sins and what are not sins though. The Bible is not a book of laws that if you dont follow you will go to hell, but rather a book that says you will stumble, but God still loves you. It is not a free pass though and if you think it is then you need to re think your salvation

This song literally came into my life on the hardest day of my life- the day my husband and I separated. I worked for a company in Louisiana and they were giving out cd's with Christian/Inspirational songs for people that were involved in Katrina. On this particular day I decided to listen to this cd and Praise You in This Storm was on it. Words cannot express how GOD ministers to me through this song. It was then that I decided, no matter how much pain I felt, GOD still deserves all glory.

I'm crying right now as I listen to this song. I just overheard my parents who have been married for 25 years talking about ending their marriage. This song immediately came to my head. It's hard to realize that the point where our relationship with God becomes real is when it is tested, when we're faced with the choice whether to betray God and end our relationship with God forever or surrender and go through the storm with God' love and grace to a victory that could never come without God's grace, where the facades have no value, where all hope is lost and all that is precious and has served as our lord are dethroned and Christ can take His rightful place as Lord and King.

Christian children are to be raised as Christians, so that when they become adults they will have a strong foundation to resist (or return from) temptation. Otherwise the moral relativism embraced by the world will be drilled into their head for 12 years in public school. Putting a Christian child in public school is delivering them right into the hands of satan.

@FoxxyEmzI agree completely.A child is so vulnerable to peer pressure.I myself went to a Christian School.But honestly my christian school was not what built my strong foundation with Christ because the kids there were just as bad if not worse than public school kids.Going through a trial in your life and havingGod raise you out of it is what gives you a strong relationship with Christ.All I am saying isdont tell them to completely avoid non-believers.Jesus said it is our job to spread the word.

@kb24crazylaker I agree KB, they should definitely not avoid non-believers, we're all called to go out in the world and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ! =) Speaking as someone who was raised a Christian but sent to public school, the effect of being influenced by unbelief for so long resulted in my becoming an atheist. Eventually I became born again. But because of my experience I would never subject my own children to this. I want them to be influenced by people after the heart of God.

This song means a lot to me right now. I am young, but my health is failing. There are a few possibilities, including fibromyalgia and muscular dystrophy. Facing the possibilities of a seemingly bleak diagnosis in the next few months, all I can do is cling to God. I will yet praise God, and hope in Him. The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord. If it's God's will to take away health, blessed be His name! If it's God's will to restore health, blessed be His name!

A couple hours ago I found out that my uncle died in a motorcycle accident. My mom doesn't know how we're going to pay for the funeral and he's been through so much in his short life. He was a really great man who was smart, funny, strong, and cool. My friend recommended this song and i'm glad i listened to it. It's a really beautiful song and it's already helped me. I'll probably be listening to it for the rest of my life and then after. Would you guys please pray for my family, my uncle and I?

I NEEDED to hear this -- going though my own storms, and not just the atmospheric ones (although those are bad enough). Storm season rough on me ... trying to overcome a lifelong fear of them, hearing about the tornadic outbreak this week has been overwhelming. @TheWutangmaster It's not addressed specifically in the the Bible. What is addressed is Lust. It is impossible to do that without lusting. So yes, technically masturbation is a sin.
Please do not get caught up in what are sins and what are not sins though. The Bible is not a book of laws that if you dont follow you will go to hell, but rather a book that says you will stumble, but God still loves you. It is not a free pass though and if you think it is then you need to re think your salvation

This song literally came into my life on the hardest day of my life- the day my husband and I separated. I worked for a company in Louisiana and they were giving out cd's with Christian/Inspirational songs for people that were involved in Katrina. On this particular day I decided to listen to this cd and Praise You in This Storm was on it. Words cannot express how GOD ministers to me through this song. It was then that I decided, no matter how much pain I felt, GOD still deserves all glory.

@tmmadding I was right where you are right now 4 yrs ago. We'd went as far as signing the divorce papers but God had a different plan for us. We are still together and happily married. We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary just last week. God does hear your prayers and knows the desires of your heart. I pray that He have His way in your life. God bless.

I will PRIASE YOU IN THE STORM......even though, MY heart is Torn. My mom just went to be with our Lord and Savior, on Friday the 4th, 2011. She had Bone Cancer and my heart is so broken and heavy. This song is helping me hold on. As well as the fact of knowing she is rejoicing in heaven and Praising our savior Face to Face. God doesn't always remove the storm. So, we must learn to Praise Him during it and through it. Please keep our family in your prayers and thank you for this song.

Thank you for faithfully praying for her...she has survived the accident...She is now waiting for a bed in a rehabilitation hospital to help her regain some motor skills but she recognizes everyone, she still has her sense of humor and most amazing testimonies of God sending his people to strengthen her husband (Total strangers would show up at the hospital and tell him God sent them there to speak words of encouragement to him) Praising Our Father Together!

I'm crying right now as I listen to this song. I just overheard my parents who have been married for 25 years talking about ending their marriage. This song immediately came to my head. I will praise him in the storm & I will lift my hands. People always hear about parents getting divorced/separating but no one really knows the pain the child feels until you're actually going through it yourself.
