lerenzo is genuis..and he really earned his money now..he really took serious risks and put out his money when he was not even sure what was going to happen with UFC
Lorenzo comes off well in this interview. He knows what the fans want & is trying to please us & its working. And quality in numbers is what the UFC is providing so keep up the good work guys
Really great interview, well thought out questions and Lorenzo is a top notch business man. I think we all can learn from his successes! Thx for uploading!
I would like to start a business with Lorenzo there's no way I could loose with a partner like him very focus thank you learned a lot from watch and seeing the bigger picture
honestly lol im not sure y i dont like him but definitely something AHAHAH but mabe its cuz he looks like he roids around ALOT plus a hit of powder every now and then.. iunno lol
Shit shut the fuck up boxing undercards make way more then you pay your players fagot, i think the boxing under cards make more than your main event fighters ahahah idiot, last boxer to fight on a good undercard i saw made 70 thousand.
Shame the family name by buying the UFC? I think pretty much being a part of organized crime shames your family name. Nothing more shameful than being someone who threatens, bullies, and murders people for their money. Nothing more than a glorified common thug these Casino barrons.
what other sport would you sit on your computer and watch a owner of a sport talk in a 20 min interview. The guys who run ufc have great faith in mma and have taken to where it is today much respect to the fertitta's and dana white and all the people behind the scenes who make it work!
Awesome interview. I love it when the interviewer lets the guest talk and doesnt interrupt them or cut them short. Straka is great at this. I didnt know much about Lorenzo, and sort of had a different view of him but it seems like he is very down to earth despite being massively wealthy, which is really cool. I also like that he has such a great passion for growing the UFC and turning it into a worldwide organization. I hope it continues to grow. We need more fighters!
Its good that it's a family brother love thing, i have a sister and i could not trust her with money...she's not poor by no means....she just loves money...the day she walked into the woods all the foxes left...as been English and from the UK i don't get to see this sort of stuff on UK tv...we all know about Dana White but it's good to see Lorenzo Fertitta doing an interview thats 24:51 minutes long.
Great interview! Lorenzo's always interesting to listen to (even though he rarely does interviews), and one thing you get from him whenever he speaks is the sense that he's actually the brains behind the UFC's success. Where Dana refuses to give various info, Lorenzo provides it and at times gives really intricate details.
One fact (with video footage available) is that Dana was against the idea of TUF, TUF being what saved the UFC; so it's most likely that Lorenzo made the decision to do TUF!
@JCGCINC ok I'm a moron because you say so, but that fact of the matter is Dana has no resources to invest. Zero! He was a struggling boxing promoter who had nothing to lose if the project failed, and without Lorenzo's investment and business acumen the ufc wouldnt be where it is today.
@steady2wheels piece of shit yankee ignorant worthless fuck, Fertitta is italian, u assume he is from mafia, how do u dare u worm, they are hard working people, like all italians, people who have great talent for business. that's why we own all. now take ur dirty poor ass back in ur locla macdonald and keep washing toilets
Lorenzo Fertitta is a classy, big, educated traditional Italian man, but he should kick out of the organizations that shitty dipshit yankee redneck embarassing ignorant fatass of Dana White. period.
@Victor8939100 They are childhood friends and Dana was the one that called him on the phone and told him to buy UFC so the credit goes to him even though Dana can be a pompous dick...
The mob doesn't write great marketing plans unless you think bashing someone's head in works for everything". Fertitta's and White promoted, and marketed MMA to what it is today. Connected or not, makes no difference. They deserve ALL the Credit, and MOST of the Money cause they HAD THE BIG GIANT SACK WE CALL BALLS....
YEAH FRANK JR Is smiling.... So are Sam, Rose and Vincent ....And Uncle Vic and Anthony...
@logan48227 You're absolutely right. But having Japanese MMA and K-1 run by the Yakuza, Finkelstein of M-1 having ties with the Russian mob, and the father of the owners of the ufc having been a mob boss, does put an unneeded question of fixed fights due to paid commissions for all these promotions. And we already have proof of works in PRIDE.
@prooc As far as I know, Coker was part of K-1 before starting his San Diego-based promotion, which was a local show in the start. The funny thing is, I don't see questionable score cards in Strikeforce. If I'm missing those, please tell me. And they don't touch Vegas. And the history of Vegas is available at no other than Wiki casino's owned by the mob, boxing commission payouts or one-on-one judge bribes what Don King did, who was also involved with the mob and the shady history of the ufc.
@rampagesgrill84 You do raise an interesting point, but I think they avoid having to fix fights by booking mismatches...at least in Japan.
Look at how many of Cro Cop's, Fedor's, & Wanderlei's opponents in PRIDE were cans. Yuji Nagata is a Japanese pro wrestler whose only 2 MMA fights were against Cro Cop & Fedor. I think they just throw fresh meat to the wolves rather than actually tell guys to take a dive.
@logan48227 True, they all fought their fair share of cans. But there's also a huge risk involved in mismatches, that's why they covered that in some of those fights by matching them up with Japanese fighters, they love that nationalistic hero shit there. Sakuraba's fights were the best and the worst at the same time. His fights with Vitor, Newton and Randleman looked like works, yet he was the biggest reason for the success and longevity of PRIDE. And they loved Brazilian fighters...a shame.
@AmadeusExcello They know how to play the game. The Fertitta's were members of the NSAC before buying the ufc and starting their company Zuffa. Lorenzo's father: Frankie "three fingers" Fertitta. A mafia boss from Vegas. True story, ufc was funded on mob money, look it up.
rampagesgrill84 1 year ago
@rampagesgrill84 All of Las Vegas was founded on mob money. Without Bugsy Siegel & other mob bosses, that place would still be a hole in the ground.

@rampagesgrill84 This is true, and a fact Zuffa tries very hard to keep under wraps.
How the UFC and Zuffa have managed avoiding FBI and DoJ investigates for fixing matches is beyond my comprehension.
