OH GOODNESS. I thoroughly appreciated this video. Thank you so much for sharing your beauty and talent with us! I've been listening non-stop. Please, continue to sing. Forever.
The MSVMA TTBB State Honors Choir performed this song just this past weekend at the Michigan Music Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL song and that was the first time I had heard it. They way you're singing it here brings out every emotion presented in the piece. It feels like a lullaby, and you bring out each word as if every syllable is just as delicate and precious as the baby seal. Pure. Beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this.
@Eshenna94 I second the motion that this is a fantastic presentation of fantastic song. Thank you to maestroskillz for this. Gorgeous! I was actually in the choir you mentioned and we didn't sing this song (unfortunately!). I think this is an absolutely wonderful piece that any TTBB choir would do well to sing. You might be thinking of "A Hymn to God the Father" by John Ness Beck (which nearly made me cry while I was on-stage singing it).
Dude, I love the sound! Very nice on the tuning as well :) Listening to your choral style I'd have to say you're probably from the northern US? I could be wrong though.... I'm from Southwestern Ontario, which has an airy, bright choral tradition, but you don't sound like that, nor do you have that dark sound I hear from choirs in the Southern US. I do believe you have the most agreeable training of the three. Anyway, it really was amazing to listen to and I pray that you will go far in music. :)
@PrestigiousSail Thank you so much! And you're right, I'm from New England. I actually haven't had a lot of choral training (shhh...) but I really appreciate your comment! :)
I absolutely love Whitacre and no multi-tracks I find ever do him justice. I have to say this is the only Whitacre multi-track I have enjoyed thus far. Awesome, man!
I just need to comment again and say how amazing this is. I love the sound of all male vocals, I actually like it better than the original. Bravo, you sing sooo beautiful!
I cried. Honest, I did. Both this and your string & piano multitrack of this song are absolutely amazing. Keep the excellent work coming! I'm definitely looking forward to your future violin work!
You're extremely talented sir, I really enjoyed that interpretation. Soothing and clear. Glad you shared it, and glad to have found it via barbershop666. :)

You also might be thinking of the SATB choir which performed Water Night by Eric Whitacre at MMC.

@robloxfan459 agreed, but we might have never had a choral arrangement if they did :)
