  • WHY IS THE DAD A MORMON MISSIONARY?

  • steve jobs was atheist!!

  • well, it beats believing... I dunno a little empiricism anyone? "my belief conquers all!"... yep but your intelligence does not. good video, I like it.

  • why lie? the only question I hold toward my children. never lie. we know no better than they did 200 years ago, but lies will hardly compensate.

  • Wow this is stupid

  • I love how dirty athiests removed the top comment hahahahahah i will post it agian,

  • @aghahowa11 All Through the Night will always be a greater song. And Daddy will not always love the baby, in an Atheists perspective. How can a dead person 'always love'? In at least a Christian perspective, if one makes it to heaven they can always love their child. This song lies. Furthermore, I don't believe love exists. I have no scientific evidence of love's existence, therefore, it does not exist. This song is lying because love does not exist. Why must everyone lie to their babies?

  • @aghahowa11

You are an idiot, and I doubt I need to confirm this as the majority of others will see what you typed and agree.

Good luck on... being smarter and stuff, if you even understand what it is I am saying.

I mean really? Anyone can tell themselves they are going to fairyland for eternity, and love is a function of the brain.

Can you really not see how foolish you sound?

  • @aghahowa11 There is scientific evidence for love, just go to wikipedia and read. Or google. Afraid that it might enlighten you?

  • @aghahowa11 Actually there is scientific evidence of love, your brain releases a hormone when you feel what we call love.

  • @aghahowa11 The top comment?

  • @vastleft Great video.

  • press 0:07 for god

  • Comment removed

  • I'm singing this to my kids XD

  • haha, word, being traumatized as a young child with stories of hell was a blast

  • "but your daddy always loves you"

  • No lies between us? Aww - not even Santa Claus?

  • Kudos to atheism. We live a life and then we die. Simple as that. Why add the complexity of there being a God and adding all the rights and wrongs that were supposedly made by him. You only get your life once so instead of wasting your time in trying to please God and hoping for a pleasant afterlife, Enjoy and cherish what you have now. That makes it all so simple and worthwhile.

  • True, Babies don't believe in God. They believe in whatever is told to them by their parents and society. It is society which fills our mind with all this bs. I used to believe in that douche because my parents had told me that he's there and will fix all our problems. Guess the guy never showed up and that is when I realized that I only knew that he was there because of the conditioning that was provided to me by society. I will never lie to my kids like that.

  • the begining was a little odd, but i like the end.

  • You know, it's a common thing to show from a "baby's perspective" where all the adults are only neck high. However, infants have an instinct to find people's faces, so people should really show the heads instead of the bodies.

  • Very cute video.I like it :)

  • Luvin' the Atheist's Lullaby,...beats all them lies they tell kids,...no wonder the world's such a big mess,.....thumbs up to ya vastleft and thankin' ya for the COOL UPLOAD! = )

  • Atheism is a religion by the definition of the word.

  • @st4ticblu3 atheism is a religion like bold is a hair color!

  • @st4ticblu3 definition of what word good sir? atheism "a" - without. and "theism" - belief in a god or gods. Atheism is NOT the belief that there is no god. Atheism is simply the lack of a belief in a god. I'm sorry sir but if atheism is a religion, then NOT collecting stamps is a hobby.

I will help you though and show you proof that god exists to ease your pain. Simply go to google, click images, type in "morgan freeman", and hit enter.

  • @soundmindwar Morgan Freeman!? I was always told that Clapton was god.

Now I don't know what to think!

    Woe and despair!

    Rev

  • what happens when the daddy goes ?

  • We need more of this! :)

  • @jesperbech P.S. you're the one that's sick in the head.

P.S.S. stop stealing bad Dane Cook jokes.

  • @imacoolkid613 "bad Dane Cook jokes" is redundant

  • @jesperbech It's true that christians follow the new testament, but you can't just pretend the horrors of the old testament don't exist. Like an all good god that destroyed cities. sounds like my kinda guy ;)

  • NICE!

  • @smpearson1402 Finally, we get religious apologetics in its purest form!

  • @vastleft Would you mind explaining that comment? Even if it's just a troll.

  • Oh wow I loved this. Favs

  • there has to be a longer version!

  • Go to sleep when you die you'll be nothing but rotting flesh~

daddy love you now, but he wont when hes a corpse in the ground~

    your exsistance means nothing child~

  • @Harleyquinn191 Rubbish!

Existence has meaning now, so does the child's. Where did this silly idea come from that only eternal things have meaning and value?

Is pleasure, joy, & happiness less true because they are temporary, or doesn't the fact they are only so give them infinite value?

  • @Nilsy1975

old comment is old. im an atheist now.

  • @Harleyquinn191 A comment from a month ago is hardly old, but congratulations on leaving religion behind.

  • Never have I heard words so sweat. Thankyou, sir.

  • @comeonfolks In order to rationalize a heaven that no one has ever demonstrably experienced, you choose to deny the existence of love, which virtually every human has experienced. How beautiful and sustaining religion is!

  • @vastleft How can you demonstrate love?

  • @comeonfolks If you have a baby, significant other, and/or puppy, watch them breathe while they're asleep. If you don't feel something special, you've got bigger problems than whether a make-believe heaven exists

  • @vastleft No, I don't think it is special. It is just me guarding my child, for I want my bloodline to be the dominate bloodline. It is not a matter of feeling special, what is special about humans watching their babies? Lions watch their babies, dogs watch their babies, it is not out of love, just because they want their dominance. You are a delusional fool if you think make-believe love exists. There is no scientific evidence for love and so it must not exist.

  • @vastleft What a RIDICULOUS thing to say comeonfolks.

  • @vastleft You sir, are brilliant. :)

  • @vastleft That was beautiful. Thank you.

  • @vastleft Love can be defined as an observable series of actions, such as self-sacrifice for the welfare of others. You are thinking of the emotion of love; love is also a behavior.

  • @comeonfolks On a side note "love" can actually be quantified by measuring what chemicals our brain releases when we feel this emotion

  • @comeonfolks god is not needed to feel love or any other feeling for that matter

  • @comeonfolks oh, its very simple. love is chemical reactions in the brain. as are all emotions.

  • @comeonfolks hehe all my childs life I have sung her the lullaby All through the Night. I just changed the lyrics a bit to remove the crazy god and angel crap. Its now a lovely family lullaby she will sing to her own children.

  • @comeonfolks you are one evil barstard

  • @comeonfolks How do you explain all the love in the world. I'm sorry you can't love but I do. I know its true. Plus there is lots of proof.

  • (continuation) Throughout the centuries men have speculated about the resting place of planet earth. Upon what or whom the earth the earth is resting became an important part of mythology in many ancient cultures. An important part of mythology in many ancient cultures to the ancient Greeks the candidates were Atlas or Hercules. The Hindus believed that elephant or turtles were the pillars upon which the earth rested. However Job 26:7 "He hangs the earth on NOTHING" 1600BC.

  • im sooo singing this to my next baby hehe

  • What a splendid piece of imaginative nonsense. And for those of us without a mummy and daddy and living in the peril of atheistic regimes.........................tough shit I suppose.

  • @hdregmore Who lives in the peril of Atheistic regimes?

  • @curlybob64 North Korea and China for starters. Then how about all those brutal communist regimes?

I may be wrong, but perhaps Stalin sang this bedtime lullaby to his kids before murdering millions.

Then how about Hitler? The most successful atheist of all?

  • @hdregmore I'm not sure if you're a troll or just very stupid... Either way, I'm going to point out where you're wrong:

Communism and atheism are completely different things, freedom of religion is permitted in both of these countries.

It is believed Stalin was pantheist (nature and God are the same) and although he wasn't a fan of religion he did reopen churches during his reign.

And Hitler was originally a Catholic but adopted other Christian ideas later in life.

    I swear you're a troll though.

  • @curlybob64 I am not sure if you are an idiot or just uniformed. I supported your challenge and you reply with an ad hominem attack ( typical atheist bullshit) Educate yourself and stop watching naive nonsense.

I swear you are an idiot though.

  • @hdregmore Says the guy who has yet to provide a counter argument.

  • @curlybob64 Says the guy who refuses to accept presented information and uses accusative abuse.

  • @hdregmore Where was I presented information? You're just describing yourself there.

  • @curlybob64 Whatever. My point is made.

  • @hdregmore What point? You just reworded everything I said.

  • @curlybob64 Ah, the wonders of denial.

  • @hdregmore Bah, I don't need this; I have dragons to slay and wenches to woo.

  • @curlybob64 Bye Curlyjoe. Woop woop woop.

  • @hdregmore Damn it Neg...

  • DESIGN demands a Designer. SOMETHING can't come out of NOTHING.

You don't go from disorder to ORDER.

The laws of Science will show you that.

Ah, yes. LAWS of science. Who wrote the laws? Who set the laws into place?

You only hide from God because you wish to hide your head in the sand and continue in your sinful ways.

  • @AmericanSoapBox Are you trolling? Or is that your serious opinion? I can't tell, especially after your comment saying that this channel is breaking all the youtube rules / freespeech.

  • @AmericanSoapBox

Assuming what you said is true, why would a being powerful enough to create the entire universe and its near infinite complexities bother with a species so insignificant as humans? My main problem with religion is the anthrocentricities that follow it. That and the hypocrisy and war. My point is, what makes humans so special so demand the attention of a divine being?

  • Comment removed

  • @AmericanSoapBox How so? And how ironic that "AmericanSoapBox" attacks free speech about religion. American soapbox for me and not for thee, eh?

  • @vastleft Love is a subjective experience in your own words, it's something we experience, and do not measure. For instance a drunk wife-beating child-abusing father loves his child less than a well-adjusted, warm-hearted parent. But you cannot quantify that, and because you can't, you can't make objective statements about love. That means as an atheist you must think this song is trash. Furthermore, you conclude on a high note, saying there shall be no lies, that is a Commandment, from God.FAIL

  • @AmericanSoapBox Only to a fundamentalist it is hate speech. And you guys are the scum of the earth, causing most of the problems!

  • @AmericanSoapBox Freedom is a real bitch. Eh? HA! Good for you vastleft!

  • Very good, especially the last line.

  • all u atheists answer me this. if we weren't made by any one and the universe wasnt created but just cme from the big bang than who or what created the mass that exploded into the big?

  • @salakerz324 Scientists are still figuring that out. You see, scientists are smart. They try to find answers for themselves, rather than accept some bullshit like the Bible.

  • @uiruu no matter how u put it everything goes back to creating.. what im trying to say is if the big bang even is true who made the lil mass? key word made! there for an athiest is also a believer in creation?. and how is our dna evovled when it contains so much fine detail? put it this way... the sand in beach is kinda made by evolving! but our dna is as if some one wrote sam was here in the wet sand on the beach! then thats a whole defrent story from evolution think about it.

  • @salakerz324 Um, no. You're missing the point entirely. WE DO NOT HAVE THE ANSWERS. DON'T PRETEND THAT YOU DO.

How did God create the universe? How did he get here? Why is it a "he"? Why is it a person? Tell me the answer to each of things, and you'll prove me wrong. What's that? You don't have the answers? AHA!

Based on THE EVIDENCE WE HAVE NOW, there is no God. There could be evidence SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE that proves his existence. But for now, nope.

  • @uiruu dude theres actually more evidence that god is real than evolution!. as a matter of fact scientest actually have no real evidence of evolution at all just theorys!. we have 98 % similar dna too bananas but that doesnt mean we came from them! lol. if we actually knew the real reason god created the universe our heads would explode i mean its god for crying out loud! think about it!. but look even god put in the bible that all our unsolved questions will one day be answered by him.!

  • @salakerz324 Before I demolish your comment, tell me your sources.

  • @salakerz324 You dumbass. We have all the proof for evolution. Lemme go ahead and ask you a question. How do you explain Penicillin resistant bacteria? At one point, they were killed by Penicillin, but then evolved so that they could not be killed by it. Did God purposely evolve them so that they could go past antibiotics? And please, go ahead and list all your sources on the "facts" you claimed.

  • @salakerz324 Science books should be read, not used to roll weed.

  • This lullaby is awesome, we need more. I can't sleep without it now, lol

  • i really love this. are there any atheist bedtime "prayers" for children? you know, nothing that is going to scare the day lights out of them... like the "now i lay me down to sleep" one, where they'll worry they are going to die in their sleep.

  • Beautiful. I especially like the line, "your daddy always loves you". Religious love tends to be conditional upon a child believing the same fairy tales as his parents.

  • The organ at the end made me half expect a good-ol' congregational "A-men."

That would have given me the willies.

  • this is beautiful, thanks for posting

  • Id rather die and have nothing, Then live in heaven with a god that could cause this monstrosity called earth. Religion is just synthetic frippery

  • this song almost moved me to tears... I think I'll sing this to my son or daughter when I have a baby one day :')

  • wat are the last words? I hear" a new adventure__________ there be no lies." (what is in the blanks? I can't tell)

Very nice though. I love it!

  • @godonlyknows1101 Here are the lyrics: Go to sleep There is no god Life is complex Sometimes odd But your daddy always loves you No sky monster lords above you Sleep, my darling In dreams we fly When you wake: a new adventure And ‘tween us there’ll be no lies
  • @vastleft Awesome lyrics.

  • @chrisman737 Good job with your alternative lyrics!

I don't strictly agree with you about "meaning." Meaning is a human construct, but within our realm it's quite, well, meaningful. That time is long, life is short, the universe is big, and our Gods are fictions doesn't mean that we can't hold certain things, acts, etc. as "meaningful." Likewise memories aren't an illusion, they're stored information. And love is a feeling and a motivator. (to be continued)

  • @chrisman737 (cont'd). Our emotions and experiences and memories and so forth are what they are. They don't become something more because we adhere to religious fantasies, and they don't become something less because we don't..

  • @vastleft Shut up, emotions are only bio chemical your brain, which makes you body feel the way they feel, however, your life is still meaningless, even if you say they do. Your morals are for survival of the fittest for your species to survive in this society. Note the fact that only man gives things value, so this means that in our minds we may look at others and say if his life is useless or worth it. Objectively; however, you might as well say it's pointless. Then again, you don't believe in

  • @vastleft (continue) objective, so this whole troll thing I did is useless.

  • @chrisman737 I don't think I'll ever understand how anyone could decide their life is meaningless because it is finite and not eternal.

  • @KaraRvn, It doesn't HAVE to be meaningless, but it certainly can be. And, of course, since atheists see human beings as merely a product of evolution and chance, then we are all just a fancy mishmash of biochemicals and bioelectricity. Thus, any meaning we impose on such a fragile existence is merely a human construct. Ultimately, such meaning is so tenuous and changeable that it is not even worth subscribing to for a day, much less a lifetime. But I am a theist, so I see things differently.

  • @chrisman737 If you "see things differently," then you should try not to guess at how we feel and assert those guesses as fact.

I'm always scratching my head over the "merely chemicals" statement, from people who believe that humans were formed from dirt and the breath of a god. Really, how could any infusion of the supernatural be BETTER than a natural explanation? Why is it more rewarding to think of yourself as "merely" a ghost inhabiting flesh, rather than a marvelous array of atoms?

  • @KaraRvn, well, you are right that I shouldn't guess at how you feel. However, I do resent when it goes the other way -- atheists assume that all theists are brainwashed from birth (how does that explain for example, two of my dear friends who grew up in atheist households with atheist parents and finally converted to Christianity much later in life when they were adults? Also, read my words -- I didn't say it has to be meaningless, but the possibility is there, especially for an atheist.

  • @chrisman737 Im atheist i do not assume that.So please Dont ASSUME we all think that way

  • @chrisman737 You think we think like that? lol.

  • @chrisman737 You sound like a great, great dad. Oh, and just for the record. If your big bad strawman here would actually be true, would you still bring it this way to your son?

  • @chrisman737 lol, fail, how hard is it to get what atheism is? why do you feel the need to demonize and lie about everything you dont agree with? its rather pathetic you know

  • @chrisman737 Wow you are a very horrible man.

  • Ah, another lie as well. "In dreams we fly." This is not true. Flying in dreams is not real flying. It is an illusion, if flying occurs at all. Of course, dreaming can involve nightmares. This is omitted for some strange reason. Next lie, "When you wake, a new adventure." Maybe yes, maybe no. Much of life is spent with one day looking much like the other. "No lies between us." Another lie, since I have already mentioned many lies sung in this song. So much for atheist lullabys.

  • @chrisman737 are you that stupid ? its just a song for babies, will you write a theist lullaby saying " When you wake, a priest will rape you " ?

funny, a theist talking about lies when you have the biggest lie ever told above you :)

  • @TheHardy2defy Theists do not generally make lullabys they have prayer before sleep, a moment of joy and genuine connection in a matter of importance whereas this 'lullaby' seems more to be about the atheist getting high on himself and his abilities than actually soothing the child, the ONLY thing that truly strikes a chord with people is the ending, about no lies. Funny thing is, that's not an atheist sentiment, that's a Commandment from God. The only thing that WORKS in this song is biblical:)

  • @jesperbech "a moment of joy and genuine connection " hahahah and "The only thing that works in this song is biblical" ? well let's make the lullaby more "biblical" should we add "when u wake u should beat your slaves" ? or "kill some first born egyptian before sleep" ?

    (:

  • @TheHardy2defy Christians follow the New Testament. Try again.

  • Hmmm, let's take a look at this. "But your Daddy always loves you." This is a lie. The Daddy referred to here is the earthly Daddy. There is no guarantee that this Daddy will love the child. Also, atheists believe that death is the end of life. Daddy can't love when he is annihilated in death. So he cannot "always" love this child. Also, this assumes that God is merely one who punishes -- no mention made of other images of God.

  • Im gona sing that to my son...

  • Atheism- What happens when parents stop lying to their children.

  • Beautiful

  • awe, the religion of atheism has it's first hymnl

  • saved to favorites :D

  • Why people believe in a sentient being ruling over us and are joyful about it ill never know. if it was true and he is all powerful and timeless, all the murder, rape, starvation, torture, and infanticide in the world he is responsible for. what If God takes food from a child and lets him starve? or if he lets a child be raised to torture and kill others? is he better then a murderer? of course not. he is worse. if there is a god he is to be rebeled against not praised

  • Love it

  • Pretty cute lullaby, although it's about time atheists move on and stop referencing "sky monsters" altogether. Start defining your own identity instead of juxtaposing yourself with other people's superstition.

  • My family believes in god.I do not.I couldn't raise a child to believe something so ridiculous without facts.I'm not trying to bash believers but at some point you have to question the sanity of these people.

  • aye better hold on to them dreams, because yes u may have a good life, and your dreams may be fun and loving, but you baby will grow up to be a man, and then an old man, and then you will die.........

and then infinity kicks in, yes, the seeds u have sown in the mortal life u have lived, will reflect how ur infinate continuation will be.........sooo baby, dont listen to the lies that the ahtiest tell...because in all truth, there just to lazy to face GOD because they just dont want to believe

  • @ferretmaster22 If all you bring to the table are Pascal-ish threats and insults, you've already lost.

  • when i have a kid this is what im going to do

  • nice song, but i kinda hope no-one actually sings this ;)

  • This is beatiful, literally a tear felt from my eye, I will totally sing this to my child.

  • @Khaizerful Me too! I tear up a bit when I think of this sweet song.

  • beautiful piece or work. beautiful lyrics. loved it.

  • beautiful piece or work. beautiful lyrics. loved it.

  • Aw, this video's sweet.

  • But without Jesus How will you trick your kids into Doing Anything You Want. Next your going to say I shouldn't use The ToothFairy Child Anal Rapist to not pay up the 5 bucks for lost teeth.

  • @

    vrghiks

  • I'm guessing you wouldn't tell them Santa Claus isn't real either, but it kind of takes the fun out of being a child.

  • Or just be creative about Santa.

  • My idea was to tell them that Santa was more of a concept of generosity, and that the parents give the gifts because we love them.

  • That's a good way of telling them.

  • Oh wow yeah, atheists singing "no god is bad" as a lullaby to kids, because we don't have any children songs that relate to the Black Plague.

    Makes no sense...gross generalizations.

  • This video was a bit blatant but the concept of "no god" wouldn't seem so astonishing if it weren't so grossly ingrained into modern culture

  • Teaching a child there is no god will help him/her to avoid church. Teaching a child about skepticism will help him/her understand life.

  • I am an Atheist and I have a 5 month old son who will be raised free of religious shackles.

    Thank you for the video

  • Without God people would be loving each other instead

  • Well put!

  • No,it's just tongue wagging with no meaning!

  • now, to say whether religion played NO role, does that mean that the soldiers on the battlefield had no religious faith, or that neither side in the conflict(s) used the 'God is on our side' claim in order to gain support from the citizens of their countries and spur on their own soldiers? that's another kettle of fish altogether...but using that claim does not make it a 'religious war'...nearly every war in history was fought for political or economic reasons

  • @aaronmacauyag got in hes ten commandments say too love one another!

  • @aaronmacauyag thered probably be no conflict in the middle east aswell

  • if cant love with out the help of some invisible man thats a limitation of ur mind not of mine hope u will no longer have to give credits to other for the love and goodnes in u =)

  • The mind is finite and limited!

The heart is the problem, not the mind.

  • the heart pumps blood...

  • You don't know which heart I'm speaking

    of?

  • u mean ur emotions??

  • Yes,your inner being!

  • Humans don't have two hearts. But hey, I'm glad to see that aliens w/ 2 hearts some how discovered Youtube!
