RIGHT : ive got this cracked. you get your swordless guys coming, kill em. then the magic guy comes, hit him with one character then when the magic guy kinda stances forward like he's casting a spell ,,,,, switch and hit him, he loses a heart, the guys with swords come then, chuck at at the ropes. repeat x3

For the love of God, I got to this part, spent 30 minutes fighting those little bastards with NO SWORDS! I just shut it off.  I didn't know you had to knock off a heart to get the dudes with swords. To make it simple for me..how do I go about knocking off a heart again?

between guys. the boss will take a short stance after he hits and stuns ur guy switch fast to a new character and hit him. A heart will then fall off and you can do the sword to the ropes again. I hope this helps you all and that you can understand what i am saying... LOL... I dont usually play video games. But I love this.....

When he first send out his "troops" you need to kill them. then he will come out. Before you can get the"troops" with the swords you need to knock off one of the bosses hearts. Then a guy will come out with a sword. Pick it up and break the rope. Then you need to do it allover again. If you try to just use a sword without knocking off a heart it wont lock on to the ropes. I found that the only way to kill the boss is beating him with you bare hands (no shovel,sword etc.) You also have to switch

Theres a bunch of problems with this game on psp, 1st time i tried no swords, second time, 0 life but doesn't die 3rd time the black magic junk wont come off.

Read the comments ! You must fight the boss until he stuns you thus stunning himself for a couple seconds, immediately switch characters and hit him, it should knock away a heart and then there will be one swordsmen in the next attack group. The swords are for the rope, not the boss. Only switch hitting, will hurt the boss, causing him to send another swordsman. That's all you need to know.

i found out how to do it first you have to do him 1 damage before he sends the guy's with the sword ,just attack him when he is on the brigde and he wil stun you at a moment then swith karacter and whack him so he jumps away and you'll damage him

I had the same problem.. when the boss is reaching for your chest, switch to another character and attack the boss. The aura will disappear.

This is how to beat this stage:

1) Punch Ram a few times. When he stuns you, switch characters IMMEDIATELY and punch him with the not-stunned character before he jumps away. This will take off a heart.

2) THEN a guy with a sword will come. Kill him, take sword, throw at bridge support.

3) Repeat 3 more times.

I think the PC version has a bug, whenever I got a sword, Indiana always refused to cut the rope on the bridge,I was there for ages and definatly doing everything right, but he just wouldnt do it, frustrating. Anyone know a level skip??
