For those of you who think the auto shifts faster the you obviously know nothing about removing the slave cylinder on 6 sp. which gives you a second or two quicker response times...03- Hot wires, Denzo plugs, chipped, slave cylinder removed, reinforced clutch & throw out bearing, Eibach swaybars, Tien coil overs, caster camber kit, 70 mil. overbore throttlebody and Cold air, short shifter - stock internals, no turbo, no super charger, no spray ...quarter mile low 11's top speed157mph.

The whole top end as well as the crank, pistons, seals and all of the ignition system are not stock. I pulled the stock block swapped out from a totalled Sonata with 15k dyno's 390hp @ the wheels any jackass can strap on a turbo to a tired motor and blow it up. The right way is to bullet proof it first.

You can modify a stock 4cyl 2.3 Ford to deliver over 400hp with just 4brl and modified internals. I have from a build I did from HOTROD mag. so piss off kid I know my shit and you obviously don't.

I own an 04 gt and i love my car...but i will have to agree that the manual tranny does suck in it...at 56k had to get synchronizers...and now at 72k second gear is goin bad...other than that its a good car...but regardless i don't think bein an automatic or manual on the tiburon is really going to make that big of a difference if you turbo it...if there is really a difference it's not gonna be much at all...

well all i know is i own an 03 tiburon gt. i love it now, butttttttttttttt that is after 2 trans as far as i know, and 2 clutches the current one is upgraded to the single fly instead of the dual mass. and all i know is that granny shifting is the only way to drive a tiburon with the 6 speed manul gear box. unless upgraded alot. trust me i have owned several manul cars and have street raced for the last 5 years and tracked raced for the last 2. so i know upgrade or ranny shift.
With the tiburon the automatic transmission is the strongest stock you can make over 400whp without needing to change the drive train other than motor mounts. The fastest non professional tiburon in the 1/4 is an automatic. The tiburon has short gears and auto has 4 longer ones its still shiftronic. That being said I still have the 5speed manual.
Less turbo lag, I disagree, just no release of excess boost pressure, and without a wastegate, that could spell disaster.. >_> A friend of mine drives a Saturn SC2, and he wants to turbo it, it is also auto, and a POS to begin with, he's going to ruin it, but he seems to think auto is better for a turbo too, whatever bro, stick is better all around.
A turbo with no waste gate, should be considered, impossible. just spooling it up with no waste gate installed, creates chain reaction, of the motor getting more air, exhausting more, thus creating more boost thus over boosting. with no waste gate, you could very easily run easily over 3 - 4x boost. blow your motor, burn up your turbo. probably a few other things too.
I agree entirely, an automatic transmission, with a turbo, makes no sense whatsoever.. It doesn't change the turbo response at all, that is what a turbo timer is for, but still, like you said, over boosting, which can be prevented with a wastegate, true, but still, a manual transmission is generally quicker (myth?) because by changing gears yourself, could be faster than the auto tranny, and would just sound more natural and badass, assuming that you have a blow off valve, which are awesome.. :)

if hes in america its a tibby...dude its only $35 to buy the emblems...tuscani is the foreign market name (i.e. Korea) and only in Canada do they sell a true tuscani which comes originally with aftermarket parts and from the looks of this they arent the stock aftermarket parts of a tuscani....so this is just a tiburon with aftermarket parts and tuscani badges....
So i gotta gotta know how much the setup cost you over all man, I've been lookin' into it for a bit and WANT BOOST. i posted a video of my tib from 2007. got a couple more things done since then but I'm saving $ for the mtor work i'll need done

well all i know is i own an 03 tiburon gt. i love it now, butttttttttttttt that is after 2 trans as far as i know, and 2 clutches the current one is upgraded to the single fly instead of the dual mass. and all i know is that granny shifting is the only way to drive a tiburon with the 6 speed manul gear box. unless upgraded alot. trust me i have owned several manul cars and have street raced for the last 5 years and tracked raced for the last 2. so i know upgrade or ranny shift.

With the tiburon the automatic transmission is the strongest stock you can make over 400whp without needing to change the drive train other than motor mounts. The fastest non professional tiburon in the 1/4 is an automatic. The tiburon has short gears and auto has 4 longer ones its still shiftronic. That being said I still have the 5speed manual.

Less turbo lag, I disagree, just no release of excess boost pressure, and without a wastegate, that could spell disaster.. >_> A friend of mine drives a Saturn SC2, and he wants to turbo it, it is also auto, and a POS to begin with, he's going to ruin it, but he seems to think auto is better for a turbo too, whatever bro, stick is better all around.

A turbo with no waste gate, should be considered, impossible. just spooling it up with no waste gate installed, creates chain reaction, of the motor getting more air, exhausting more, thus creating more boost thus over boosting. with no waste gate, you could very easily run easily over 3 - 4x boost. blow your motor, burn up your turbo. probably a few other things too.

I agree entirely, an automatic transmission, with a turbo, makes no sense whatsoever.. It doesn't change the turbo response at all, that is what a turbo timer is for, but still, like you said, over boosting, which can be prevented with a wastegate, true, but still, a manual transmission is generally quicker (myth?) because by changing gears yourself, could be faster than the auto tranny, and would just sound more natural and badass, assuming that you have a blow off valve, which are awesome.. :)

if hes in america its a tibby...dude its only $35 to buy the emblems...tuscani is the foreign market name (i.e. Korea) and only in Canada do they sell a true tuscani which comes originally with aftermarket parts and from the looks of this they arent the stock aftermarket parts of a tuscani....so this is just a tiburon with aftermarket parts and tuscani badges....
