i don't understand the advantages of a cabriolet. You can't use them in the winter, they cost A LOT more, they're actually heavier, which results in them often performing worse, AND harder to insure....AND far more prone to damage and wear.

i think they'r purposely made for summer time, so that you can drop the roof down when its hot but for extra cost.

its like another way of telling other non-cabriolet buyers "hey look! i got a car with no roof to enjoy the sun and the breeze while i'm driving and you don't!"

which in my opinion is pointless, i mean this Maserati is very beautiful, but i'v owned a convertible once and as a driver it was just as same as if i'v had a sunroof opened.

Cabrio's are made for enjoyment i guess, some people like to be seen, show off, or like having fresh air around them, although it affects performance, most of these people just want to enjoy having the top down regardless.
