  • or 4 black spray cans with gloss works better and faster!

  • @zroxr faster yes better i don't think so

  • @joelin66 just saying....but yess its better

  • haha damn thanks, ive watched 8 vids and this is the one i feel confident in.

planning to do it to my k1500 suburban, haha thanks bro

  • @robertGuerra3 You very welcome go for it and post a video good luck

  • Wow! That undercarriage looks like a brand new truck!

  • @BluesBoyJonny watch the two year undercoating project and thumbs up thank you for watching.

  • did you have to sandblast the rust off before priming or just use a wire brush?

  • @kyle8293 No, I use primer over the rust and undercoating after. I delay the rust process and not eliminated but watch the Two year undercoating project and be the judge.

  • You have to Wonder why all cars aren't built protected

  • @whatsdare

Its called Obsolescence. Car manufacturers and Petroleum suppliers thrive on it. Think of why we're not all driving cars with Aluminium frames , fiber-glass panels and running on electric motors... they would go bankrupt in about 5 years.

  • SWEET JOB! I saw the video 2 years later and it held up great. The videos were edited well and have great music. I love the S-10 brother, very clean.

  • good jop man

i will with my car, but i will use spray paint

  • I know that was a lot of work man. good job. Im gonna do that to my impala soon. Thanks for the motivation.

  • I used the Duplicolor Rubberized Undercoating Spray on my 2000 Xtreme. Thought it would be easier, but yes there is a lot of over spray and be prepared to fall victim to it too. It did an alright job of coating, though unless you get the exact amount of spray it will later fall off.. Take this video as inspiration and do it the right way first! It may take longer and cost more, but it will be worth it if you want your truck to look as good as his.

  • talk about a legit job, looks great

  • You did a great job. A lot of work and worth it!

  • All I did was pressure washed frame, used a stiff brush to get off dirt then sprayed. Did that late summer and still looks not bad, might redo it though like you did

  • i used alot of lubricant on mine... lol dw40

  • if i were to spray duplicolor rubberized undercoating to my jeep is there any where i should not spray it besides- brakes, exhaust, and engine.

  • @MultiBamf69 If you spray, make sure you don't spray over loose paint, I did that by accident, and it rusts even more because water gets in behind

  • Nice

  • Wow...nice job. Thats alot of work. Did you have any issues with the primer sticking to the waxy frame coating they put on at the factory?

  • THANKS for the vid.... It really helped me make my decision on applying it with a brush rather than a Spray product....

I was wanting to do this to my 93 Ford Lightning I just bought the other weekend.....

I WAS thinking of a spray but I would have overspray EVERYWHERE this does make more sence do it by brush..

I was thinking about pulling my bed off and doing it that way...Hopefully tha will be a little easier... we will see....

    Thanks again dude.... BIG HELP...

  • @joelin66 how much is the rustoleum?

  • 5*** great work

  • Looks nice now that you've got it done. I have to say though, would have been a lot easier had it been done before the rust set in. You can still see a few pits in the metal, mainly around bolts. However, I know that time, funding, and a lot of other factors make it difficult to do it as often as we'd all like. Congratulations on a job well done.

  • Currently in the process of doing this to one of my Ford Transits....... what a mess! Lovely job :-)

  • where can you buy all these products?

  • @joelin66 cool i got a 00' sonoma its my project truck and im doing the DIY roll in bedliner and using the left over stuff to do my wheel wells and parts under as well

  • thanks for the video this really helped, look forward to seeing more videos of your truck!!

  • @RichardSoullie I post Two year after undercoating project add comment and Thumbs Up

  • very inspirational...awesome job...i can imagine the peace of mind you have knowing the cancer has been delayed on your truck.

love the transition at 3:31 music and the realization that you went with black over the white primer.

  • I was thinking about doing this same thing to my 96 S 10. I'm a little confused on what to paint. I can see from your video most things that I shouldn't paint besides the obvious... Do you have any pointers?

  • at the 0.32... u use thinner for clean the frame after wire brush... i just want to know that if u clean to water it might increase the oxidation or not...did use thinner better than clean with water...

  • I'll pay you to do mine next LOL!

  • dang dude thats pretty neat how much does all tht cost cuzz i might just have 2 do that 2 my s-10

  • cool idea. i just might try it. thanks for the video response

  • Why didnt you just buy the shit in the spray can?

  • Because is too messy and you have to tape off more parts to avoid over spray.

    Thank you for the question

  • What parts do you recommend coating.

  • Nice trukk

  • que bien, buen trabajo

  • A couple of pointers for people who are going to try this themselves. Joe used a white paint to prime with as it is the obvious choice in showing you wear you MISSED A SPOT or may wish NOT TO MISS. Make sure that the surface is not covered in grease or a degreaser, as paint will not adhere to either chemically aggressive compounds. Also, please tape off any brake parts or get a steady hand. Coat three to four times, never glob it on and pray once is enough. It is a process, take the time.

  • Joe. First of all. Let me just say you did a great job on the undercoating of this S10. Not only have you insured there will be absolutely no rust whatsoever on the bottom of the truck. You have increased its value, you have increased its overall durability and reduced body flex, and on top of that you have dampened the road noise from the wheels on the highway. You sir, have done a great job on this and I commend you. As all automotive followers should, I salute you for this.

  • quedo nuevo socio de verda tienes paciencia porque para ser todo eso hay que tgenerlo hasta bonito el caro

  • buen trabajo!!!

  • great job, what were all the products that you used? thnx

  • Vaya Boricua ! Tremendo proyecto que te tiraste... Tremenda guagua!!!
