  • "some peopre berieve that the range of motion arwais be the same" lol sorry teacher not my fault!!! great lesson!

  • the furthermore somepeople believe that...

  • @Ursulocrow I hear: "then furthermore; some people believe that..."

  • some people

  • yet another chink drains all the soul out of something for economic purposes. China is the disease of the future.

  • @themagicwookster this type of racism has become the norm on youtube... every non-white person gets it or will get it eventually.

  • @vFluX haha but i'm not chinese, but yes you;'re right, China is the disease of the future, but not for racial reasons :-) , the government is corrupt and they need some sort of revolution... anyway thanks for your nice comment!

  • @dmmc1043 Thanks for that. I assume that you are North American and of course your Governments are not corrupt? Ladies and Gentleman I give you Nixon, George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Clinton etc, etc, etc No, no corruption there. I agree that there are issues in China's Human rights record but let's not forget rendition and Guantanamo. The United States cannot complain about the state of another's backyard without first cleaning up it's own.

  • @themagicwookster I'm Canadian... but my family has firsthand experience with the corruption of china.. it is not comparable to the corruption of north american governments...i dont think americans get hunted and assassinated for having a different opinion, arrested for voicing their opinion, beaten as chidlren for speakin another language... well all that has happened to my family at the hands of the chinese gvt... anyway this is about music not ppolitics

  • @dmmc1043 Actually I Think becomes about politics when you choose to use a rascist word to describe someone, does it not?

  • @themagicwookster i think you're confusing me with the person who wrote the original message... i didn't say the chinese people were evil... i said the country's government was.. i have tons of chinese friends who also agree with me.

  • wow a full 53 seconds! thanks for the "lesson" asshole

  • @RobZiak You're really that retarded you can't figure out the hand motion by yourself? He's a professional, he's not expecting the viewers to be completely lost.

  • @TocsDK I was talking about the length of the video not the content buddy.

  • @RobZiak 53 is apparently just enough to show the thing. At least I don't need several minutes containing how to do this motion.

  • @TocsDK Ok hotshot, I'm glad you told me that

  • @RobZiak lol it says it's an EXCERPT from a DVD hence Lesson 1 as in excerpt number 1 of many others that are available on youtube

  • Dennis is an awesome rhythm player.

  • You need a badass 'stash to play gypsy jazz.

    End of lesson

  • do you need a certain guitar to play gypsy jazz?

  • @nickteezy408 No, any guitar will do, but that one's are the coolest for it

  • wich guitar is it??

  • c'est bien le jazz mamouche

  • HEY can you play manouche with your hands? as in no pick?

  • For rhythm it'd work, but you wouldn't be able to get the same kind of sharp picked accents. For lead you'd be outta luck without a pick, though.

  • oh yeah . i just meant the rhythm. also do i need a gypsy jazz guitar to play the rhythm properly?

i find this rhythm pretty hard to do. is there a special way to perform this rhythm that i am not picking up on?

  • nah, you don't NEED to have a gypsy guitar to play. someone else'll have to reply to the second part, because I can't for the life of me get the knack of it, either.

  • Not at all. Any guitar would do.

Similarly, you don't need all-nylon strings to play Bossa Nova, or an electric guitar to play rock.

and I agree; this rhythm is hard!

  • not if your playing an electric! Django played electric too remember!

  • In photos, Django Reinhardt is always playing without a pick.

  • No, Only with Mediator, but if you like meat, why not :D

  • Well sure you can, but it won't have that characteristic chungachunga sound which is so important.

  • the sound hole is so small! is that a different type of guitar or wht??

  • gypsy jazz guitars usually have one of two sound hole types, the one in this video is an oval shaped 'petite bouche' (little mouth), an the there are D-shaped 'grande bouche' (big mouth) versions.

  • lol the "big douche"!

  • do you need that sort of guitar to get the gypsy jazz sound?

  • not necessarily, but it does help...

  • switching to the thickest pick you can find will help too

  • Well I think you are a good teacher greet thanks from the Netherland! I play also de django style greeting Roy de Rijke

  • why are these cut off?

  • ole tu
