  • @Thingimubob Ok the Beast ended Vickery's carreer at age 24? Vickery arguably one of the best props ever? correct me if I'm wrong? And I understand that Adam Jones did make a significant impact on your scrum, but to say he destroyed the bok scrum is a total lie! Adam Jones is one of my favourite props in the world, but he did not destroy the Beast, he did fair much better then Vickery there is nou doubt, Euan Murray also did not destroy the beast only player who can is Martin Castrogiovanni..

  • @Duwify owen franks destroyed the beast every single time, then when he had enough he subbed off for his brother ben franks and then he destroyed the beast!

  • @moabdah9 do u know what cracks me up? You calling Paul O'connel and CHabal props? Why would you call guys that are 6 feet long play Lock for their Countries Props? And you said he is one of the strongest props? But The Beast Mtawarira scrummed him dead and so did Guthro Steenkamp so please read up on your information..

  • @Duwify wait, are you saying that Adam Jones DIDN'T destroy the boks scrum in that tour? :S were you watching the same games as me? There was a HUGE difference when he came on for Vickery in the first test, and then slaughtered Beast for the majority of the 2nd test too. Mtawarira isn't that great in the scrum anyway, remember Euan Murray being all over him the November before this test too.

  • @Duwify O' Connell's 6'6'' and Chabal is 6'3.5''

  • You don’t see videos like Bakkies hit on Tuilagi, Bakkie destroys Chabal or Bakkie ‘Enforces’ on O’Connell, he only ever does it to the smaller guy or when the cheap-shot's on. Like from behind or when they’re not looking. Just a bully boy really and when he gets smashed, and he does, watching it is so fucking satisfying. My mates and I always cheers and raise a beer. Doesn’t matter who did it, which team, it’s sooo fucking great knowing around the world there’s loads of people cheering too.

  • @TYwokki adam jones is 19 stone and one of the strongest props in the world stronger than chabal, 5/6 of the tuilagis and probably paul o'connell..............................

  • wait so ur not allowed to just go through the gate and smash them...? i always do that :P ive never been penalised...

  • @moabdah9 same here mate :)

  • Good clearout by Botha, completely legal. Shame the man's a cheap shot bastard 90% of the time...

  • No , he is just a beast of a man and he plays hard. There was nothing wrong with clearing that ruck , he just breaks people and you all are jealous that you will nevr have someone on your team that can do that sort of damage. I agree he plays dirty , but in this video there was nothing illegal. Thats what you get when you compete at the ruck with Bakkies!! So stop hating and be glad you never have to face him again!!! Its the fear that makes you hate :)

  • i personally think adam jones is a pretty shit prop hahaha

  • what a clear out absloutly epic counter rucking

  • All these comments re. Botha as good player... he is a dirty bastard and has been cited more times than enough... if you want a true great look at Matfield... at least he plays fair and true to rules of the games rather than cheap shots.

  • It was from a diagonal angle and Adam didn't see him coming, stupid Adam for not looking ahead. Botha is a beast I think he's an extremely powerful player, however that wasn't fair play. Position them together head to head and I know there will be a different outcome!

  • @fewhavestrength

Yes, his wrist won`t be the only thing broken! Bakkies is an unstoppable train!

  • It was a fair challenge, even Jones says so

  • Ummm...when we beat the lions and also physically dominated them (Bakkies Botha on Jones, Pierre Spies on Williams, Bismarck du Plessis on O'Driscoll, Beast on Vickery...the list goes one and they're all on video on youtube!)

  • @ConservationPhoto oh yeah sorry just had my morning coffee and yes you guys sure did.........

  • @ConservationPhoto You mean all the illegal hits and tackles?????????? Then yeah you certainly cheated your way "AGAIN" to a win! And before you start your usual SA bullshyte over SA. Lived there played there, so know all about the dirty cheap hits that are taught!

  • @Atak31 Chill. I have no respect for any player SA or not who plays dirty - like Schalk Burger. I have British friends who play in the UK leagues who have seen players blinded by eye-gouging. Don't pretend it doesn't happen everywhere. There are idiots in the game for every country. There's video on youtube of Sheridan clearly hitting Bekker in the balls. Cheap and illegal. It's not a Springbok thing. Get over it.

  • @ConservationPhoto Then explain why SA has the worst rating in world rugby for ILLEGAL TACKLES

  • @Atak31 Well you've obviously got a bee in your bonnet and can't accept that every country has its idiots. At least I can admit that the country I support is not perfect. I mean, England has 2 players in the same WC team who tried to knock each other out in a premiership match a few weeks back. But no, you're right. South Africa is the only team that gets involved in off the ball or illegal stuff......

  • @ConservationPhoto Not at all. This thread is over Bakkies and as i said explain why SA have the worse rating of any country for illegal tackles.Didn't get an answer as I knew you wouldn't have one.

  • @Atak31 Please show me this ratings table, the table where South Africa tops the chart...give us a link or something...dont just run your mouth and type in big letters, c'mon big boy show us your proof

  • @goonerfromjhb ROFLMAO Ohh dear ohh dear, seemed to have touched a nerve with you ehh! Go to the IRB related web sites just look up the research and stats that are relayed on there. It's not rocket science ohh and it took my 35 seconds witha google search to find it...Have fun!

  • I lmao'd on the " you broke my arm!" bit

  • Spring boks strategy = If you cant beat em, beat em lol...............

  • @rugbygirl34 Yeah...and we did both!!!

  • nothing better than listening to a pom whinge!!! my all time favoirite sport

    is watching england lose.... BOKKA!!!

  • ok, what was the point in that? well done botha, u didn't achieve anything there, and you injured adam jones in the process. you really deserve to be a professional rugby player, congratulations.

  • Adam Jones already admitted he acted like a fucking faggot after this...just leave him alone!!!

  • Even if this is legal, Bakkies Botha is a disgustingly dirty player and more of a thug than a player. I have no respect for him whatsoever and I pray that SA stops producing these thugs.

  • @MyChemAreTheBest We dont produce thugs, we produce big strong rugby players. If you are too soft then play another sport.

  • @MyChemAreTheBest Here the thing he didn't mean the other player just was at the right place at the wrong time. Also every body knows that Bakkies Botha goes for the big hits, its the way rugby is played.

THERE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE INJURYS ON THE FEILD, SO GET OVER IT.

  • @MyChemAreTheBest how was it not legal? he was on his feet ? and went through gate?

  • @moabdah9 You're aware that they are not the only two rules about engaging in a ruck?

They must bind with one arm round a team-mate at the very back of the ruck or it considered a charge and dangerous play. Mostly refs let players get away with it due to the fact that it isn't hurting anyone and they bind onto a nearby player but when someone throws themselves in like this, it's dangerous.

  • I'm sorry but I'm fairly sure that to join a ruck the rules say that you must bind to the player you are contesting with...no binding there at all :/ fair do's though and a good charge by botha :P

  • thats what happens when you mess with a south african

  • Comment removed

  • Botha is a dirty player but there was nothing wrong with that

  • if youre gunna go by the letter of the law then you have to bind before pushing in the ruck, but who actually does that these days? sorry for adam jones because in my opinion at that point he was the best tight head prop around.

  • @rtd1995 lol i got so many penalty`s for charging in last season ^^

  • i know bakkies has been a little dangerous in the past but in this case only Jones was right to speak in support of a legal counter ruck. With his head down he didn;t effectively brace for the hit as you would do in a tackle

  • actually I believe IRB rules for the ruck Rule 16.5 section c

"A player joining a ruck must do so from behind the foot of the hindmost team-mate in the ruck. A player may join alongside this hindmost player. If a player joins the ruck from the opponents’ side, or in front of the hindmost teammate, the player is offside. A player may bind onto an opposition player providing the player

is not otherwise offside. - so he was attempting to bind to Jones effectively as he had no one infront of him.

  • @DevilBoyDoc

Im not trying to start a keyboard war im just interested. So if everyone else is off thier feet you can charge in?In jones interview it seemed as if he acknowleged the tackle was technically wrong but so what it happens all the time.can you elaborate on that?

  • lets face it folks, if Saint Bakkies is so bad then why has he just signed with Toulon for some serious coinage.

  • nothing wrong with that. I know some comments say it was illegal and you have to bind to your own player but all players in front of him were off there feet. He did not enter from the side. He struck predominantly with his shoulder, it just happens to be very close to his head but it was in no way a head but. He didn't have anyone close enough to him to bind onto to enter the ruck. If you're the first one there then you just gotta go in. Hi didn't dive over but it was a bloody good clear out

  • People say this was legal it was not.you need to bind to your own player in a ruck. This rule is rarley enforced. But this is ILLEGAL

  • @Quinno77 It's called COUNTER RUCKING, Adam Jones came out himself and defended Botha's actons and did not agree with his ban.

  • @TheBruiser012

Yes but the laws say that even in counter rucking you need to be bound to your own player.I saw the interview where jones defended him he admitted it was technically illegal but laughed it off and said it happens all the time anyway.

  • Bakkies Botha is a bastard, but he is THE bastard.

  • Bakkies Botha WANTS to hurt and injure other players. That's the bottom line. There's no place for arseholes like that in sport. And anyone who thinks he's "funny" or "tough" is an equal prick. He should be banned for life. Any true fan of sport will be as sick of him as I am.

  • nice sound!!! Napoleon dynamite!!! awesome!!! lmao

  • Bakkies will break you in 2

  • this is probably the most ironic thing Botha has done - being legal but getting banned for it? He doesn't get banned for most of the other shit he does.

  • @TheBruiser012

Its not legal. The rules say that you must be bound to your own player ina rucl.It dpesnt happen allot of the time.but it is illegal.

  • bakkies botha is the biggest beast in world rugby

  • he didnt brake his arm he dislicated his shoulder

  • im welsh people do get hurt but bakkies knew what he was doing its called gamesmanship or being dirty this goes every weekend on the rugby pitches up and down wales you just never hear about it south africa do like their thugs though kobus wiese, james dalton, etc etc just like to see a bit more fairplay thats all

  • adam' that what you get when you dont stand strong at a ruck.

if this was american football, who care if it was. thats no game like RUGBY!

    ha

  • in fairness, adam got back in the ruck

  • Yeah I'm Welsh so I'm bound to stick up for Adam but let's face facts..

    (1) people get injured in rugby

    (2) normal people are concerned for fellow human beings

    (3) retards get hard-ons from such things.

I've witnessed a guy breaking his neck in a collapsed scrum, I've seen broken legs and arms too and that's not including my own broken bones, so don't give me 'you da man' and all that shit unless you've sat in A + E getting your bones rebroken or your face stitchied up, like I have.

  • @welshcanadian1 your not alone. If you'd grown in in SA you could count a few more....

  • if it was foot ball thay would have had live open sirgery on the pitch

  • Comment removed

  • Jones was 'n klein teef, huil oor. Deal with it, die seun dit nie fokken Rugby se vlugbal!!

  • BAKKIES jou LEGEND !!

  • Mooi man!

  • The enforcer!

  • The enforcer!

  • Ha, wheres the "you broke my arm" thing from ?

  • @supertye Terminator 2, Sarah Conner's escape from the hospital. She smashes the doctors arm with a truncheon.

  • @ImposingSumo

Ahhh thanks mate, was really bugging me !

  • I'm a kiwi but I hav to say bothas a fuckin hero nd arguably the best lock in the world after Ali Williams ;)

  • hahah just cus jones was raping in the scrums he goes and does this

  • Hes welsh not a yank ¬¬

  • i bet if botha connected a south african prop like that, the south african wouldn't have broken his arm. lol, this irish guy is soft!

  • @TheRealChadMustang welsh you mug

  • @tomc247 nah he's irish

  • @TheRealChadMustang check it out dude:

"Adam Rhys Jones (born 8 March 1981) is a Welsh international rugby union player, currently playing for the Ospreys in the Magners League. His usual position is as a tighthead prop. Jones has also represented Wales, previously playing for the national under-23 team, and going onto make his debut for the Wales national rugby union team in 2003."

  • @tomc247 yeah, i'm not sure where you got that from but it's incorrect. i know the welsh wear red and in the video he's in red, but don't let that fool you as that's actually the lion's attire (a team that consists of england, scotland, IRELAND and wales).

  • @TheRealChadMustang dude where are you from? guessing america?

  • @tomc247 Yeah... not sure what that has to do with anything though...

  • @TheRealChadMustang nothing much, except that as someone from england, with an irish family, i've been playing and following rugby all my life, and i've even seen adam jones play, so i know my shit. plus jones is like THE most welsh name ever. unless you're just winding me up? :)

  • @tomc247 of course

  • I LOVE Bakkies Botha, all he did was clear the ruck...

People get injuried in rugby, its natural. :)x

  • why the hell is this a penalty. the games getting soft.

  • lol

  • We've got some psychos on here whacking off at pictures of Bakkies Botha. Have a nice evening, girlies.

  • adam jones was just resting there at the front of the ruck like a christmas tree ornament. he should have been ready for a counter ruck and he wouldn't have got hurt.

  • Imagine if this was football. Adam Jones walked off the field but a football player would have had the air ambulance picking him up off the field.

  • @nungu99 youre a thick cunt.

  • @dstacey102 i think we have a football player here haha queer

  • @nungu99 you talk such shit mate

  • @dstacey102 no, he's telling the truth.

  • @TheBruiser012 i dont think so

  • @dstacey102 footballers will fall over at the slightest kncok then scream for a penalty, an air ambulance and declare their last will and testament while the medic puts a plater over a cut that doesn't even need one. A rugby player (like we've just seen) would get straight back into the ruck and not whinge.

  • @nungu99 And imagine if Jones tried to play football, and if my aunt had a ...etc

  • Bakkies is a machine but to be fair i wouldnt fancy goin toe to toe with Matfield either he looks like a serial kikller!!!

  • Wow, fuzzball must be made out of butter. I took a hit like that a couple days ago from someone Bakkies Botha's size and I didn't break my arm.

  • yeh but its not just size the power different vastly at international

  • Stay low, hit rucks! I love this game! Bakkies Botha is the man. Feel for Adam Jones but hey, thats rugby for you!

  • @hos1973 I agree, but the rules state that you need to be bound on to a ruck in order to drive it, so whilst I agree with you and appreciate that this always happens, it's a blatant disregard of the rules which are designed to keep players as safe as possible.

  • @hos1973 And that's why he got suspended, again, and again, and again. Illegal entry into the ruck, leading with the head to strike opposing players unable to defend themselves. Head butting player FROM BEHIND. Cowardly cheap and deff a Bok player.

  • @hos1973 Bakkies is a cheap shot merhant whos reputation comes not from skill and physicality but from thuggery and rule breaking.

  • @hos1973 border line went off his feet not a huge hit but jconnected right it was gonna be painful

  • Bakkies is the man...

This is what the ruck is all about.Only whinging Northern Hemisphere rugby supporters have a problem with this style of hitting the ruck...

  • thug

  • Fok jou xpat doos. Weet jy wie jou ma is? Ek gaan uitvind waar jy bly, en dan gaan ek jy 73 keer verkrag.

  • dirty bum trust south africans tho XD they have to injure players to play

  • and how many injuries exactly were there in the rugby world cup?

  • dirty cheat what was the point in that he was never going to win the ball anyway

  • @r0Bb34 It's called counter rucking.

  • Good player but jesus he doesnt need ta do shit like that

  • i agree but neither did martin johnson or alan quinlan but thats rugby

  • dutch Saffas make religious red necks from Alabama look positively rational!

they are crazy religious nuts who have more in common with the Taliban than the developed western world.

  • somebody got offended buy this vid.HAHAHA. Hey xpat73.Seems then that the developed western world are all softies

  • The fact is that the Boks were getting absolutely stuffed in the scrums in the second test by the Welsh from row...depsite all your SA macho posturing tough guy bullshit. You were going backwards.

It's only when the Lions props went off and the game went to uncontested powder puff scrums that you got back in the game.

  • Infact, Du Plessis may be strong but he is the weekness in the scrum. He is tall and scrummages too high, therefore it is easy to scrum against him. John Smit should move back to hooker as he is a much better player, in hooker.

But Springbok management are testing out new things, which is stupid as it jeopardizes the teams name.

  • It's one of those things that happens in every game....technically it is agains tthe rules and illegal. You are supposed to bind on when rucking...but nobody does it anymore and you could blow a penalty at every ruck.

IMHO Botha targeted his shoulder in this instance.....an exposed upper arm with the full force of Botha is either going to break the arm or dislocate the shoulder.

  • Jip xpat73,but it is still legal what Bakkies did. he was allowed to push the guy off the ball and he did not come from an offside position either and he stayed on his feet.

  • Bakkies Botha will fuck Chabal up six love! With his eyes closed.

  • grandmardotty, Learn the game, before you make comments. IRB found nothing wrong with the joining to the ruck, they said the tackle (cleaning out) was dangerous. Get it, Got it!!

  • ummm, he didnt achieve anything, apart from maybe a few comments by idiots saying it's beastly, he put his hands on the floor too, and the lions won the ruck sooo, fuck south africans

  • He belted the crap out of Jones, put him out of the game and series. And the Lions lost. So maybe just take it on the chin instead of whinging like a pussy?

  • if SA won the GAME, what happens to the lions?

  • they lose?? ye, i kinda realised that twat. well know everyone now knows how pointless it was, waste of energy in my opinion, he just did it to seem hard, and by looking at SA's formation, it seems as if they wanted as many defenders pillaring, so there was no point in getting in the ruck, oh, to seem hard, i 4got

  • it wasn't pointless, it showed how biased and one sided the citing system in world rugby is. Personally I'd rather stick to facts than get into a slaggin match, and the fact is the current system is based on how bad the player is injured and what shirt you are wearing, not what you do. Andrew Sheridan, punching Bekkers nads, no citing. Brian o Driscoll, Swinging arm, head high from offside, no citing. Bakkies Botha, joining a ruck, citing + 2 week ban. I could go on, Twat.

  • it wasnt pointless, becuz before he did it, he knew it would show how biased they are, 1. no 2. no

  • @alxdnld if you rly believe that the citing in rugby in biased look at the example of eye-gouging, Burger-approx 6weeks, Attoub, wot wos it, 8 months, 9 months?? they're definietly shite and not consistent, but theyre not biased m8.

  • @ospreysShaneW My point wasn't that it is biased in favour of one team or another. although that is debatable in the southern hemisphere. My point was that it is based on how badly injured the player is. And Attoub and Dupuy were trying to remove Ferris eyes from his face, Schalk barely touched Bowe in comparison. The two barely justify comparison.

  • we still kicked your ass so ye,

  • I guess he did it on purpose

  • I saw nothing wrong with that. You see it all the time. If Jones hadn't been so brittle it would not even have gotten a mention.

  • james3prop, learn basic english before you comment in it.

  • listen buddy keep your crap to yourself. south africa always play the game hard just because someone got injured doesnt mean it was foul play. and trust me bakkies is much stronger than adam jones. would you actually put a tall guy like bakkies in prop... NO. maybe you should learn more about rugby.

  • adam jones is much more powerful than botha thats why adam jones is a prop and botha isnt. botha is just a thug he cant even play rugby. and he werent even crying he was just in pain, and u wont cry if u dislocated your shoulder ( learn about rugby before u comment on it )

  • see the vid where botha rucks the englishman... that was fantastic.

  • nobody wants to see a rugby player get injured... but if you come to SA to pick a fight... dont cry when you get hurt. We see that type of rucking in every game. its the first time we see someone get injured from it. he did not dive either, when you ruck your weight is coming forward. if you ran into a ruck and the man you rucked dissapeared you cannot hold your balance. as my oupa always said... Africa is a tough country pal.

  • You're the one with all the experience with dicks after having that many in your mouth. You tell me, am I a dick?

  • For a hard little 12st welshman (lol) you watch some really gay vids

Change your uploads, they make it seem as if youre a little gay mincer who sits on his computer all day scared to go outside, not the 12st tough guy you portray- hahahahahahahaha fucking fairy

  • the spring boxes tried to take out all of our good players , adam jones is one of the greatest props ever and put the spring boxes in their place.

  • Adam Jones is a pussy and thats why his little bones couldnt handle a tackle by Bakkies

Maybe he should have drank more milk

  • Comment removed

  • What a stupid comment. I dont play rugby and only weight 13St. Of course I couldnt take a hit like that. Idiotic to even suggest it.

One thing I can do though is use the English language correctly. Can you???

  • Comment removed

  • Well done you. Keep up the good work. What a hero

  • Comment removed

  • If you dont play tiddlywinks then you shouldnt comment about it.

Its called opinions. Ever heard of that???

  • Comment removed

  • we fkin shower in milk, and its nice to see you sorting everyone out who is british, just stop being such a hero, and relax

  • A man has a serious injury and all you can do is make it into a comedy moment, disgusting. I dont think Botha should have been banned though.

what amazes me in 2009 is that there is so much hatred and arguments over rugby which then merges into politics, why ?.

This is a sport played by all big, tall, and small, to be enjoyed by black or white.

When will people learn we are not here long, enjoy your lives and drop the bitterness.

  • i agree who ever made this vid is an ass hole

  • i personally think shoulder charges in rucks shouldnt be alowed like that, it just promotes injury as we see here..

  • Stop watching rugby.

  • That's my ruck bitch! lolz

  • The Lions are a bunch of softies, if the refs arent their to cover for them, they probably will opt not to play at all. They probably pay the refs to try and keep the Boks at bay and not to be too physical. Bakkies did nothing wrong.

  • how can u call them softies have u ever played rugby probably not, its usually faggots whove never played the game that make pathetic comments like u

  • Okay, so the laws clearly state that a player joining the rucck must bind. Who could Bakkies bind to? TTHERE'S NOBODY TO BIND TO. Common sense 1 - IRB Laws 0

  • English as I am, Botha was within the laws to hit the ruck (sorry, Adam Jones) and subsequently injuries like this will happen, the ban was wrong and seemed to be aimed his reputation NOT the incident IMO! Yes Cloonator, it happened to me too an AC dislocation, I'm assuming it was AC not GH...anyone? Conversely, Burger didn't get enough!

  • The EXACT same thing has happened to me playing rugby, and let me tell you it is not fun. Dislocating your shoulder like that is aweful.

  • pretty retarded misplaced macho-ism, the reality is as professional rugby players they all have the potential to injure each other, legally (as in this case) or otherwise.

  • Bakkies you LEGEND!!! Cant wait for the Tri-Nations!!!

Adam Jones looks like he needs a shower & a haircut! Dirty poms!

  • ive got 2 say as a lions fan that this is a load of bollocks and if he hadnt have been injured no action would have been taken

  • @doringdraad. Please go on playing THIS rugby in SA and create a "SA rugby" International League for SA and Zimbabwe. But stop polluting our favorite game with these violent pahses. Inevitably, one day there will be a death on the ground.

  • dude.. it's not ballet

  • In SA we call this rugby! Nothing wrong with it! If you don't like it, don't play it! Stop whinging and play the game!

  • Wow you beat South Africa's B team,Congrats(!)

  • Funny, I thought it said South Africa on the scoreboard. If that's the best argument you can come up with that's pathetic. Not exactly the Lions first choice XV either but who cares. Our XV were far too good, far too disciplined and far too committed than the XV you lot put out today, a XV I'll remind you that were representing South Africa not South Africa B.

  • But we had nothing to play for, we played uncapped players. You get to pick from four countries.

  • Nothing to play for? Come on, that's pathetic as well. You know damn well that SA wanted a whitewash and that a SA XV should be up for any game at international level irrespective of the fact that it was a dead rubber. And the point about picking from 4 countries is? Wherever they come from we are only allowed 15 players on the pitch at any one time so that point is another pathetic one as is the one about uncapped players. For that blame your coach and undisciplined players from the 2nd test.
