Very motivational...and you look like you had a dancer's body.."Peter Parker" now definitely even more a hottie! Keep up the good work with the diet and exercise. To health, salute!
Hey empythree. I got p90x around a year ago... I have not started it though... I too have the same build you had in your first p90x video. I weigh around 165 right now... trying to bulk up by next year... I am going to the Fire Academy at that time. Can you please private message me with specifics of the work out that you used to bulk up. Also, do you think that p90x would be good if I take in more calories and not follow the diet? Thanks in advance. Great results. PM please. Help a future FF :)
Amazing results! This was very inspirational. I used P90X for a while and lost a lot of weight, but didn't get great results muscle wise. I sent you a personal message by the way.
@empythree hmmm ok i hear you about it not being ideal...i mean ur results shows that u kno wat ur talkin about...im more worried about being overall healthy than anything but i would realli like to gain some mass...im new to this health thing so im trying to edcate myself as far as what it takes so i aooreciate u responding...i understand that every1 does what work for them...but what u have been doing to get those results that u have...is that what you consider the "ideal" thing to du?
@empythree ah ok thnkx...i forgot to tell u real nice work...and u r farreal a motivation...ur results are what im looking towards as a goal...i jus got p90x and see how its gunna work out for me but i was curious if u thought that more rounds of the p90x wouldve gotten those same results? maybe even if u tweeked the diet if needed?
@youngjv2006 It's possible I suppose, but not ideal. P90x has a few strikes against it for gaining mass. Too much volume, not enough weight, and all of the chest exercises are push-up based.
@youngjv2006 started w/ P90x and didn't gain too much. Then I went onto starting strength, where I gained quite a bit of mass. I do my own stuff these days though.
I did a year and my aunt died and I sort of went through a depression for a year.. I'm back and on day 10 but its all tougher than I remember guess maybe cause I'm older, diet or something. But I'm eager to get the results I had before....CAN'T F@#KING WAIT!!
Great job!!!.That must been hard jounery to get where u are now.You look like a different person now.Looks great. My built is very simular to yours 10years ago before u started px90.I'am 180lbs. now.Never heard of PX90 until i came across this on u tube.I bought it and getting ready to do.Cheers!!!
@Empythree yeah but you clearly look bigger and muscle weighs more then fat... i would just expect that after picture to be more like 170-180... how tall are you?
anyway good job. i look like your before picture lol.
@macenaries Ya larger lats/shoulders while keeping a small waist can enhance the illusion of being bigger than you are- as well as lower bodyfat. And, I'm 5'11 on the nose.
@ak47608 Used SS more as a guide to the major compound lifts. I never did the included program, although I really think I should have. I have used a variety of splits, but they all focus on major compound lifts and then continue on to a few supplementary isolation work.
Damn dude, fing great results! I just purchased p90x, should get here this week. Im hoping to get results like yours! Although I know you didnt get these results with p90x, I hope to achieve a similar physique. I saw your other video. . .you gained a lot of muscle! How did you do it? did you fatten up, then exercise? any info and help would be great! I need results, Im joining the fire academy at my college in 4 months, and am pretty fit right now, but not good enough.
@dekoy08 When it comes down to it, I just lifted heavy, and ate a calorie surplus. The second part was the hard part, because I had to count calories to make sure I was eating enough. Anyway, did that for quite a few months, hit my upper goal of 180 last December, then cut down. I certainly wouldn't call my bulks fattening up, while I do gain fat, I don't got on wanton sprees of indulgence. It's a slow and controlled weight gain.
@Empythree true, eating part give out the proper result. nice seeing transformation & result you have. from previous video when you start and with this video too you done well. Keep the good work (^_^)
@TitanSubZero15 Supplements have their place but they are just that...supplements. Just counting calories to make sure I got enough food in me was the bulk(PUN!) of the work. I still take a multi-vitamin and fish oil, and take a whey shake for post work-out. I also take Jack3d as a pre-workout for the caffine. Creatine can be nice as well, when you first get into a bulk to help your numbers rise. Just remember all that weight you gain from it is only water. A little extra str is all it offers.
@Empythree Well right now I'm only taking the Six Star Muscle Building Triple Chocolate milkshake, I don't know if that will give me an extra push but since my metabolism is as fast a s fuck, I don't really need to watch out on what I eat since my mom's friend told me I just needed to gain weight and eat more calories and protein. He's a boxing trainer by the way and he's ripped, so I listened. :)
Nice, well done dude. This is a perfect example of tried and true barbell training being better than whatever flavor of the week training program some magazine hypes.
@hellkid227 No, not w/ P90x. I started w/ the Starting Strength book, and then did my own split a few months after, once I felt the form on my barbell lifts was decent.
you really inspired me mam...amazing job on getting that final result. i have one question though...is p90x only for adults or is a 16 year old like me allowed to use it?
Wow congrats mate

how is that a 4lb difference?
macenaries 1 year ago
@macenaries 15% BF @ 159= ~24lbs of fat. 8%BF @ 163 = ~13lbs of fat. So there is a difference of ~15(24-13+4) pounds of muscle.
