  • Holy shit dude. you're a machine.

  • Great Job playing this piece!! Technique is really good, too. Your tempo has a tendancy to fluctuate, but it's nothing that a little practice with a metronome can't fix. Best of luck to you!!

  • Wow I have to say... That was awesome, I mean, you just Nail it and your technique is really tight! The Only Thing I miss is Emotion! But really awesome technique!!!

  • On rope tension? Legit.

  • I'm working on this solo and I can vouch. This guy's got some mad chops. I can barely do it that fast in match.

  • Nice job Dominick. I really enjoyed your performance.

  • yes..... Dominick GOOD

  • Hmm.... how do I acquire a drum like yours? What is the brand? What head are you using? Looks and sounds amazing. also, probably the best video of Tornado on youtube

  • looks like hes constipated

  • Yeaaaah!!! Compliments dude

  • Awesome. Can u send me the music for that.

  • Smile! It's Christmas, did that drum come from under the tree?

  • bravissimo!!!

  • YOur technique is beautiful!!

  • @Brook3952 i really appreciate that dude. your drumming videos are amazing, especially that solo.

  • @crazydrummer549 good job dude. just open your rolls up a bit but good job

  • INCREDIBLE

  • geez dude the slow part was awesome! same with the 8's those are so hard. you're really talented dude

  • Nice dude! This is my favorite recording of this. Im playing this in January for a solo. Im the first freshman from my school to play the solo, so hopefully I can play it as well as you.

  • I love that you actually use dynamics. plus the sound quality of the head is unbeatable

by far the best quality of this solo i've found on youtube

  • just got this peice. its a pain in the ASS to learn, but i watched you while looking at the music and you did PERFECT! great job!

  • Fantastic, EXCELLENT job, well done!!!!!!!!!

  • im glad to hear a non kevlar/ non practice pad version of this!!! great job!!

  • i luv kevlar :[

  • Finally, someone puts some dynamics in this piece! The one thing I have to say is that you're putting a bit too much arm into the backsticks. But GREAT otherwise

  • good Lord.

if you didnt get in, i dont know who would.

  • get ur rolls more even. ur dynamics are great. and learn to use more arm!! haha. the old guard is all about arms and wrists!! haha :) good job tho

  • Why so serious??

    lol

    good job man. RESPECT.

  • Perfect

  • good work sir.

  • Nice to hear something other than that CRAP called Kevlar.

  • great drumming

  • SICK!!!!!

  • very straight performance. the backstick part comes good with the traditional grip!

    respect!

  • i played this in high school senior year. I know how dead that the left hand can be on those eights at the end after the 4 bar roll. Nice job keeping the pace up through the end

  • my god. that was really impressive. you are very talented.

  • The thumbnail pic for your handle is wrong =P

  • excellent job, one of the best performances of this solo ive seen, at this level the thing that most people lack is interpretation and you nailed it especially with the dynamics and accents

  • That was sweet! I like the way it sounds on that drum

  • best tornado vid by far ! good job

  • Wow, that was very good, just watch that pulse in your rolls, but excellent job.

  • Good job! Nice backsticking near the end. A bunch of friends of mine are trying out for the fife spots in tOG. Hope you make it too!

  • good job man sounds good..i played the same solo when i was a senior in high school, and im glad ive seen your video. that left hand at the end always was killer. props to you

  • Dominick,

Outstanding performance! Interpretation, posture, expression, technique --- all exceptional and military-like. While I might take some partial credit for your musical genes, your skills have progressed many orders of magnitude past mine.

You have proven that "practice make perfect"

    Congrats on a great performance.

    Grandpa Mel

  • i believe he has proven that, "perfect practice makes perfect." =]
