@thekingkellogg its a game that its a hit or miss. The PC version is definitely a must if your specs can handle it. Story is very ehhhh and cliche. Gameplay was broken on the 360 but was completely fixed on the PC version. If you dont mind installing it in your 360 hard drive, then you will barely have any issues with framerates. All praise goes for the PC version for me cause the 360 limited what you could do.

The last remnant is a fantastic RPG! It does something new for a change and just because someone gives it a few bad reviews does not mean its a bad game! Im sorry but out of the list of turn based RPGs on the 360 (Enchanted arms, Last Remnant and Blue dragon) Its a good contender, though the PC version is better because of the auto save function.

Absolutely TERRIBLE game guys, do not play this. They have an absolutely RIDICULOUS mechanic that makes the game impossibly hard the MORE you fight. It's really a hate/love type of thing. I personally loved it. Battles had a 300 (if you watched the movie) type of vibe going on. Visuals, for the most part, are nice... especially a few cutscenes that were absolutely amazing to watch. It is challenging, yes. I thought it was pretty damn fun, I had a great time with it. If you're a die-hard RPG fan or just love the genre, try it out.

Sounds pretty cool. I enjoy the occasional JRPG and they are almost non-existent on the PC. On top of that the 360 version was panned for performance issues that *hopefully* shouldn't be an issue with modern PCs. Beyond that I remember most of the reviews beging quite positive. I think this is also one of the first SquareEnix releases on the PC in YEARS now. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a courtship between them and the PC platform.

The game is pretty challenging because of how long it takes to get stronger. It took me over 2 days to get past an area called Nest of Eagles. Training the entire time. Now I'm training again and its going to take longer this time.
And the story seems to be pretty long. I've been playing it all day 2 days after its release. Just recently got on the second disc.
Hell yeah. It's also a good time to get achievements. Kill 30 monsters in a single battle (1). Get a chain of 200 (2). Kill over 2000 monsters (3). Get over 100 perfect Critical Offense of Defense (4). Use timeshift over 100 times (5). And you might not notice, but you can get a lot of Guild quests finished while training. Finish 30 guild tasks (6). That's already 6 out of 22 achievement's. Just by training.
Lost odyssey has a nice classic feeling battle system, but the problem I always found was that the battles took a lot of time. It seems like TLR is much quicker.
Square didn't build a new engine... They leased out the Unreal Engine. Ya know, the same engine epic designed for their, let me see, Unreal Series and Gears of War. Come on man...

The battle system is awesome. Making it like Lost Odyssey would make it worse in my opinion.
I wish Lost Odyssey was more like The Last Remnant.

Lost odyssey has a nice classic feeling battle system, but the problem I always found was that the battles took a lot of time. It seems like TLR is much quicker.

Its nice to see Square Enix is keeping one of its old series alive....
i really did like the Saga series before Romancing came out. Saga Frontier 1 & 2 were amazing.

Square didn't build a new engine... They leased out the Unreal Engine. Ya know, the same engine epic designed for their, let me see, Unreal Series and Gears of War. Come on man...

damn! i dint think this game was a turn-base rpg i like free roam better like drakengard i love being in total control i cant stand fight styles like final fantasy, sigh* well there one game crossed off my christmas list well at least there is still infinite undiscovery.

i think all of u dissong this game, it is not coming out until 2009, for the 360, while the ps3 version is TBA. it'll get upgraded, and i think it already looks sweet
