i especially liked the still shot ones at night with the man and the briefcase, those stills were excellent, how did you get that quality?

Those were shot with a digital still camera, hence the crispness of the image. They were not stills extracted from video, they are just still photos.

My film school doesn't teach us to use with -- film. WTF. Only digital video.

A bit strange, though understandable...As most mainstream film is definitely going all digital. Nonetheless, film will always be around, even if only in more underground sort of forms. Ah well!
