I'm really surprised that so many people disliked season 9. IMO, this was the best season of the show since season 2. Seasons 3 - 8 relied too much on camp, and all logic went out the window. Season 1 is my favorite season of the show because it's not pretentious like the show would go on to become. But seasons 2 and 9 struck the right balance of camp and logic, along with a good story. Superficial clothes and sets don't mean anything if the writing and characters suck.

I can't recall but in this episode is her image used..like in a photo? If so, technically, according to the rules she did make an appearance and not only would she be in the opening credits, she'd be paid her usual per salary episode as well.
For instance, when Jeff daydreamed about Fallon when Dominique was singing at La Mirage, and when Krystle gave the painting of Fallon to Blake during the holidays. Pamela's "likeness" was used and since she had left the show she was out of the opening credits. But, Pamela was still paid becuase her likeness was shown.
I vivdly remember the change of hair of Alexis and Fallon from end of season 8 to 9, hysterical growth in a few minutes (like chandlers wiegh changes)
though why Joan's changes heaven knows as she is always wigged for dynasty, (except for a couple of scenes in seasons 2 and 3 where her hair scrapped back )
I thought it was weird that Sean pushed Alexis into a painting which seemingly disappeared in the season premier or somehow Alexis jumped into another position...
Emma Samms was brillant as Fallon in this series. In The Colby's, Fallon was often crying and nothing like her inital character but this was brillant. Shame this is where it all ended.
Pamela Sue Martin was great as Fallon but her and Emma approached the characters differently. Pamela portrayed Fallon, as strong and ruthless, and although Emma's version could be bitchy, I always thought she was more vulnerable. However I do think the producers did not understand the characters, in the shows later years as some bare no resemblance to the original portrayal.
i liked both! the carackter was totally different when pamela played it..bur after loosing her memory i agreed the way emma played it..anyway the charakter alreasy softened in season 4 when pamela played it

I noticed that fallon in last episode of8 season had ginger shorter hair and couple houres later in 1st episode of season 9 her hair is brown and longer ;) also kids christina and danny became blondes;p
It's not just the writing, the executive producer of that season brought a coach to take care of her. Without the coach, I'm not sure her performance would have improved so fast! But Emma Samms is an actress that improved incredibly during her career. At the time of "Models Inc", she was even much better than in season 9 of "Dynasty", she was eventually able to compete with Heather Locklear and Joan Collins!

I'm really surprised that so many people disliked season 9. IMO, this was the best season of the show since season 2. Seasons 3 - 8 relied too much on camp, and all logic went out the window. The beginning sequence seems to be out of place from the previous season cliffhanger.
*The scene where Blake found the bedroom in a mess and Krystle missing, was repeated.
*James Healey (Sean) appeared in the opening scene, yet he wasn't featured in the preceding opening credits.
*After the opening credits, there was a freeze frame of Alexis (with 'Executive Producer' credit) as though the episode had come to an end....
....Confusing!
