at 00:36, the man jumps and flips. In Parkour, you would never do that. Parkour does not allow any extra movememt. The timing and efficiancy must be as precise as possible. This is called tricking.

This is both Parkour and free running people!, they are trying to get to that building as fast as possible (the parkour bit) and u also see some people doing random unesasary flips and wall runs and just generaly showing off (the free running bit)

yah, ppl often blend Parkour, Freerunning, and tricking together. Tricking is simply doing flips and tricks around places, frerunning is simialr to parkour in that you are running alon, but not like trying to escape, you do flips on the way so it's looks cool or whatever, Parkour is simply the practice of moving through any given set of obstacles as quickly and efficiently as possible. i do all three.

ch1ckenass, since you dont do either parkour or freerunning, dont say they are the same, because today they are very different. Parkour is the discipline to have the ability to overcome any obstacle from point A to point B, using ONLY the fastest methods (that is why there is no room for flips)(if you were running away from a killer I'd highly doubt that you would try to flip). Freerunning is just taking gymnastics to the street by tricking.
