I'm 15 and I really want a cat, as the last cat I had just randomly disappeared... Stupid dad won't let me get a new, he's not a cat person T-T

I think he might have been hit by a car or a disease. As I know that he always wanted to come back. One time when me and my family got back from shopping, the cat went through the door and we didn't notice, after hours of searching, we found out he was meowing outside the front door.
