if i were you id go with STI. subarus are bit more powerfull as well as they dont break for a long time...but their build of engine is more complicated than evo.

In this video it was stock axles/driveshaft. But now I have a DSS aluminum driveshaft and DSS level 2 rear axle bars. Never broke the stock axles though!
Get all the upgraded motor/tranny/diff mounts (every single one) and you shouldn't have any problems with wheelhop... wheelhop is what breaks axles.
Man I hear you, that's alot of money invested though and it sounds like it was built with good parts. What do you think was the weak link or caused a cam to break.
I have no idea what broke the cam - it snapped in half right between the cyl #2 intake valves. Cosworth warrantied all four cams with no questions asked.
My exhaust valves were not made of Inconel - they were Supertech black nitrided SS valves. I think that's why it dropped a valve - even Supertech now says that those valves are not meant for use in Turbo motors, yet they still sell them.
the motor in this video broke a cosworth cam in half after 6k miles, then blew a HG 2k miles later. Then it was completely rebuilt and dropped a valve 5k miles later and was 100% destroyed. A new engine is being built right now.
I chalk it up to bad luck (cam breaking), build/tune issues (HG failure), and wrong parts selection (dropped valve). But overall if you push an EJ257 to 5-600whp you need to expect these things.
omg thats a lot of bad luck...... im doing a buschur 2.3 in my evo right now with fp red. on stock block i made 451/461 @ 33psi.. I never seem to have catastrophic failures when it comes to cars though, I guess im lucky..... Do you do your own work? Id hope so with that much shit goin wrong with 1 motor lol.

what box is it then? its not standard because i have a wrx sti with a GT30 76r RUNNING 20psi and the standard boxes blow with a standard VF 34 bossted up...im just running a PPG heat treated gear set..
the sti stock tranny is actualy a very tough gearbox. and thats what this car has. the only thing that you would needed for this setup is just a clutch that can handle the tourqe
wouldnt take my chances. but i guess that doesnt really matter anymore with the tial bov. so you have a rotated set up? i was debating whether or not it would be worth it on a 2.0, but i suppose i couldnt run anything bigger than a gt30

My new heads have Ferrea Competition Plus valves/valvetrain. I think Supertech is OK as long as you use Inconel exhaust valves.

The gt35r is a top-end turbo, hits full boost around 4500 with a 2.5L and makes crazy power from 5-7k+ rpms.
If you don't have a strong motor it will be pretty easy to blow your motor to pieces, but it's a great turbo.
