Angela's brother, Ben Davis, was a star defensive back for my hometown Cleveland Browns from '67-'73. He also played for the Detroit Lions prior to retiring after playing a full ten seasons in the NFL.

Um, this is a cool Montage, except... the first photo your video features (close-up, sporting beret, eyes cast downward) is NOT Angela Davis!!! It's Denise Oliver from the Young Lords!!! (Her beret features a button w/the YL mantra, too: "Tengo Puerto Rico En Mi Corazon") Angela wasn't the only political revolutionary of the era to sport an afro :-)

Yes that is my picture - the first one. It is a common mistake, so don't worry about it.

The important thing is that you are featuring Sister Angela.

Angela Davis truly one of the most beautiful endearing symbols of the black

liberation movement. The thing I love most about her is that after she was found not

guilty she remained defiant saying the only fair trial would be no trial at all. Sister

@JPPrinter No trial at all? Of course you're gonna call me racist blah blah blah, but Angela David BOUGHT the shotgun that was used to murder those people, she bought it the day before the murders!! It was cut off after she bought it, the same day!! Now, if that's not conspiracy of murder I don't know what in the hell is. Yeah she got off, but so did OJ. I'm not impressed.

I wanted to link to it from a blog as part of a series of postings about Angela (a sort of Angela davis week). If i embed I find people view it but if I just use a text link very few readers follow it.

I am also genuinely interested why people disable the embeded feature. I can't figure out what, if anything, undesirable can occur as a result of others linking in this way?

@jmooreuk np.... i made it open to being embedded.... i guess i just thought keeping it embedded made my youtube account a little more secure....but its probably alright... email me a link to your blog...I'd love to see the series of postings about Angela...! =)
