The setup for this game is great, but it is totally nailed by the lack of rpg. If you have played wow: believe like the only thing you can do in the whole game is playing battlegrounds with for example orgrimar as the only other location where you can be. there are a few pve maps which you can join in the same way as battlegrounds, and the one's i've tried is really just a waste of time..

I hope the reviews are good because due to Hirez keeping the beta so tightly closed people are NOT going to take a chance of laying out $50 on an unknown IP with hybrid gameplay. A public beta would have given folks a chance to see how good the gameplay was before purchase. Now they're going to have to hope that those who pirate it will feel its good enough to buy. I wish Hirez well but IMO you've really screwed yourselves by keeping things too close to your chest.

Actually, they lifted the restrictions on Beta Players, so they can now talk all they want about it. If they are smart, they will use the next two weeks for promotional, and they will need a good trial as well. If they can get a good trial version for both GA and Conquest for those that are interested, I don't think this game will have a problem like Tabula Rasa, or other sci-fi games. (Which is a shame, i do prefer rocket launchers to magic swords, lol)

From what I've seen in the beta its all been infantry stuff. Which isn't to rule out vehicles being beyond what I've seen or added in later. Would love to have some mecha vs mecha pvp matches. ;)

But for everyone else, people create Agencies to research, mine, create Mechs, Dropships, Beacons, and missiles to take with them on Agency Raids.

And Agencies can form alliances with other agencies. And anyone from that alliance can jump into defending an allied territory thats under attack.
