what would it matter if his dad treated the awd like a FR? theres no way u can treat a awd like an FR ne wayz. he just feels like he cant beat it because if he really raced someone who knew how to drive, like his dad, on the downhill with that car. he feels he would lose...thats it. he feels tooooo underpowered
yeah i think theres a way in all awd cars to make them FR only. but i think their wrx is awd only. whatever it is..he just thinks he cant ever beat his dad. lol
Its actually close this time in the manga. But they don't show it because the producers didn't think it was worth the time and effort. They will start showing keisuke's races in a few eps tho.

he did beat 3 awd cars in 1st 2nd and 3rd stage and he got no problem beating it. its just that his dad treat the awd like a FR
