I found taht cold sores can be healed up pretty quick by a solution of 1 part hydrogen peroxide (from the drugstore) and 3 parts water. Slosh it around in your mouth but pull that part of your lip in so it gets it too. Do this for about two minutes then spit it out and drink some orange juice to kill that peroxide taste. About every four hours do this, Usually the sores will close up and start to heal after one or two times, but keep doing it.

Stop using your lip balm. It is water-based and is purposely made to make your lips dry so that you will continue to use their product to moisten your lips, which makes your lips even more drier, requiring even more lip balm applications. It' an evil cycle...

You have a cold sore, nasty little virus that once you get, you never get rid of. You should be able to get an over the counter treatment for the sore, but not the underlying virus. No kissing while you have it, very contagious. Do you have a cold as you have the red inflamed areas at the corner of your nostrils either side. I thought the glitter was sweat as you look sweaty. Some liquid soaps and perhaps shampoo has particles in them to help remove dry skin, maybe that not rinsed off.

Speaking of which, my nephew has a friend/classmate from Tunisia who tried out for the swim team his freshman year. He shaved and waxed EVERYTHING. 2 months later he had to make an appointment at a salon because he had, basically, a field of kudzu all over his body.

As a show of support, half the team went to the salon for waxing.
