  • what is the song in the beggining :O?????

  • @linkinpark495 Thanks for asking, I just posted all the songs and where to find them in the description!

  • I just subscribed to you after finding your channel from MichellePhan's new video. Let me just say the way you play piano is beautiful.Your music really takes my breath away & you just won my heart over O___O haha.

  • Thats pretty cool man congrats on making it. I know there are a lot of great composers out there who are trying to make it big. I would love to compose music for films and games. Unfortunately I live in Australia. I think we make like 1 movie a year if that here that is Australian lol

  • @99francesco Actually, Australia is very supportive of their film industry, I know they fund short films, some of which have been nominated for Oscars.

  • wtf i had to watch this for my h/w

  • Hi, nice video! I have a question, though: When you notate on finale do you export the MIDI to an audio mixing software like cubase, or what?

basically, what steps do you take after notating your score to get a decent sounding MIDI?

  • @miiwiiplay Actually, usually I create the mockup first, and when that is approved, I will then orchestrate and notate the music. Which means exporting the midi from my sequencer into Finale. Though on occasion I will write in Finale first in order to work out my counterpoint, when that happens, I will then play things into my sequencer on my keyboard, b/c the most important element of making samples sound realistic, is the human one.

  • @gsmaestro That's interesting; so Finale will notate the audio file from your sequencer for you?

  • You write wonderful music! Would you say that the ability to play piano at a high level is a must for writing for films?

  • @guitarguru1000 Not necessarily, but it is helpful. I wish I was a better pianist just so I wouldn't have to spend so much time going back and editing what I play.

  • @guitarguru1000 hans zimmer in one of his interview said what he is a bad piano player...so

  • Nice Vid. Could you tell us about your setup, computer you use, libraries? Thanks for your time and good luck!

  • @rjk1482 I use a Mac, Digital Performer, and use East West, LA Scoring Strings, and Omnisphere.

  • @gsmaestro - thanks for your response. Do you mind telling us specs of your Mac? I'm contemplating a mid 2010 Mac Pro and I'm just trying to see what others are using.

You have an amazing gift - wish you all the very best!

  • @rjk1482 It's an 8 core machine that I got over a year ago, works great though. Running everything on one machine.

  • What kind of studio reference monitors are those I see?

  • Wonderful video! What program do you use for scoring your music?

  • I use Digital Performer and Finale.

  • Wow George! I didn't know you compose such beautiful music :) good luck on everything. See u around.
