Say what you want about this movie, I'm just glad to finally see some real violence in an action movie for a change

Seriously, can you count how many action movies you've seen with this level of violence in the last 10 years?

And yet, in the 80s and 90s, these kind of movies were all over the place!

This movie has actual BLOOD appearing when people got shot, heads and body parts exploding like they actually WOULD if hit by a shotgun at point blank range, not do a double back flip in the air

Anyone watching a movie like this for anything more than an action packed thrill ride is just setting themselves up for a fall - of course its not a masterpiece of writing or cinematography, they're not trying to win a fucking Oscar are they?

This is a popcorn movie, pure entertainment with shootouts and craziness, and for what it is it does it pretty well.

And on top of that, for this type of movie, this one DOES actually have a mild social commentary to it with something interesting to say.

After watching the movie I felt like the whole weight of it rested on Michael's shoulders. The script was borderline mediocre and I think they could have gotten a lot more out of that arguably amazing cast. At the end I felt like the only good thing in the film was Michael and the funny/strange scenes were he appeared. He made it watchable...

Anyone beside me thinks "Gamer" was a piece of shit but was worth watching because Michael C. Hall acting is just plain a pleasure to watch as Ken Castle. Plus it didn't hurt that the concept for the story wasn't bad either, it just wasn't executed properly.

Michael C. Hall is a great actor. He plays the bad guy role very very well, he definately will play more roles like this, and like Dexter. I hope to see him in more movies. I will probably watch any movie he plays in even if it doesn't seem like my kind.

Yeah, I watched the entire series of SFU first, Hall is so good that after a few episodes of Dexter, I didn't think of him as David anymore.

Anyways, SFU is great, and if you stick it out, has an amazing series finale that you won't ever forget.
