one thing i believe that we all should do is to learn from all these past histories of war - how did it start, what happened, what was the outcome, and so on and so forth. one thing is certain though... if we do not learn from these past histories, our lives now, will again be intertwined (whether we'll like it or not) and be again tragically be in the same turmoil. we just have to learn from the past.

These are all the reasons they have succeeded here in the U.S. If we (me) were told the truth about this war, Viet Nam would have never happened. Thailand was not strategic for the Japanese. It was surrounded by coastal nations and had no oil. Thailand would have been occupied if they won in Burma and India. The P.I. controls the China Sea with the best port in asia, it will always be a target. Japan obtained all the goals it wanted after the war was over. Look at all the Japanese factories and businesses world wide. They could have obtained these goals peacefully instead they butchered millions.

my mother was around 10 and live inside nichols air base, then held by the japanese, together with my grandpa, grandma and three aunties. she learned to speak japanese and can talk with the soldiers and officers. she told me that there are korean conscript in the japanese army and these soldiers are really very very bad, especially those who are higher ranking. talk about bayoneting babies, my mother told me they sometimes do that.

After the end of WWl Japan was given the northern Marianas with Guam going to the U.S. German expansion in the Pacific prior to the Spainish/Philippine-American war was well known by the U.S. England, Spain, and Japan. Mainla Bay is always the objective of countries invading the P.I. It is sad that the 20th century was so cruel to the Filipino people. Can you imagine if the Germans would have occupied the P.I.? Buencamino: American patrol cross into Filipino lines in belligerent mode, Filipino guards opposed it and american soldiers fired. Phil. hist. com. point to new location as sociogo st., not san juan bridge. McKinley got U.S. senate to ratify treaty of Paris two days later and gave official blessing to train American guns at Filipino "allies". Plea to halt conflict was purposely ignored.
